MASSIVE Frame Rate Boost
By All Thriller No Philler
Disable depth of field, bloom, and motion blur, and you should be able to pull good frames and even still have VSync on (if you're a screen tear-hating monster like me).

Just disable...
First and foremost, the MOST important aspect is that you are running in Full Screen mode, not Window and not Boderless Full Screen. Just straight-up Full Screen, that's gonna be your biggest change (if that's not already defaulted for you).

After that...
Disable Depth of Field
For easy squeezes also bloom and motion blur.

But mainly, Depth of Field.

Never understood why anyone would want depth of field, bloom or motion blur on. I want my game to look sharp, not like a pixelated blurry mess. These effects burn so much fps and make the game look worse..

RTX 2070 Super, I7 9700K. Settings maxed save for RTX off, Depth of Field off, and Motion Blur off (the former for performance the latter 2 for prefrence) DLSS on quality mode and the lowest I have dipped to was 45fps personally

I'm using a RTX 2060 and I3 10100, but with all low settings i get around 58-60 fps. With combat even lower, is this normal?

@DeltaCruz Game ran just fine for me. Tried your suggestion though, did nothing and saw 0 improvements. Thanks boss

Motion Blur is just an annoyance too...should be banned.

Bloom on any game is just an annoyance. One of the first things to switch off when it's available to be turned off

Run the game via the file location not the Steam Library. You'll see a definite performance increase. Run the Launcher.exe as admin and thank me later :)

@Stone Ghost and RZARECTOR
Yeah you're absolutely right and I'd recommend it, but I didn't include the config file raytracing options since this is a "for settings newbies" kind of thing. This is a quick little thing for people who need an FPS boost and don't understand why "low" doesn't do it alone.

@everyone else
Well, yeah what I just said haha. This is for people who don't know about running betas or never have, or don't realize that pre-optimization Full Screen and Depth of Field are gonna KILL your FPS (until they get threading working better). Otherwise get into your config files, check your processor states and your CPU threads and make sure the graphics are being handled by the right hardware (your GPU obviously). If you don't need this, then you don't really need a guide to find a config file, or to make sure your CPU threads and your GPU are being utilized correctly.

@Stah
It's cool I get it, I hate me too lol

@Waffles Yo
It says "Keep Calm and Stay Metal"

@WhiteKnight411 did you try these and make sure (double-check even) that you are in Full Screen mode. NOT Boderless, but just regular "Full Screen."
