You need to press 'R' to reload.

Reloading before emptying your mag does not matter, the reload time is the same no matter how much you empty your gun.

It automatically reloads when you deplete your entire mag size.

You can also reload while running.

Drop your weapon, pick up your weapon, shoot (it makes sence right ?)

Well it works and is IMO a great feature
