Does this sound like you? Realise that you can't interact with any objects no matter how hard you flick the right joystick? Then this simple trick might help you in experiencing Detroit: Become Human without needing to buy an Xbox or PS4/PS5 controller.

I can only look around when I use the right joystick. What do I do?
Well, if this has occurred to you when playing with a Nintendo Switch controller, then I have the perfect solution to your needs. Do note that this fix may NOT work for other generic controllers, but do reply to this guide so others may know if this fixes them as well.

The fix is rather simple.
  1. First go under the controller layout of the Detroit: Become Human page in your library

  2. A gamepad layout will display as such. In the case for myself, a Nintendo Switch Pro controller is displayed. Click on the right joystick or Joystick Move option.

  3. From here, a screen with multiple options will appear as shown below.
    Click on Additional Settings.

  4. Another screen with more options will appear. Click on the tab that says Linear under Stick Response Curve.

  5. Finally, a tab will expand with multiple options to select. Click on the Aggressive option.
From there, you should be able to play the game as intended. Hopefully, this trick works for you as it has worked for myself.
