OvN Lost Factions: Albion

This mod is part of the OvN Lost Factions mod series which adds new and interesting races to the game and requires Mixu's Unlocker to work. These races are available to play in the Immortal Empires campaign and custom battles.



List of Albion Factions
  • Order of the Truthsayers - Led by Dural Durak starting at Citadel of Lead, Albion
  • Host of the Ravenqueen - Led by Mhorriníon the Murder-Queen starting at The Folly of Malofex, The Cold Mires, Northern Chaos Wastes

What's Included
  • Complete New Race 'Albion' - Like the Wood Elves, Chaos Daemons, or the Empire, Albion is its own distinct race from the isle of Albion. In general, a new race will have it's own unit roster, legendary lords, mechanics, diplomatic relations, technology tree, magic lore, spells, and everything else you might expect from a distinct race.
  • Full Custom Roster - The Albion race has a fully custom roster with no single vanilla unit, inspired by their lore and tabletop presence. This not only includes units, but fully custom heroes, lords and legendary lords, all with unique visuals and using custom made models, assets and animations.
  • Two Custom Factions - There are two unique faction from the Albion race to play as 'Order of the Truthsayers' and 'Host of the Raven-Queen', there are additionally a number of extra custom battle factions to play as.
  • Custom Mechanics
    • Rebuild the Waystones - 'Order of the Truthsayers' faction has a unique faction mechanic where they must rebuild the Waystones on Albion while staving off invasions from a multitude of foes. As they rebuild they will be afforded bonuses to defend their isle such as mist arising which damages enemies and also creates custom battle weather but beware the invasions become harder too.
    • Scourge of Chaos - Available to the 'Host of the Ravenqueen' faction only, defeat the forces of Chaos and increase the belief of the Albion folk in your expedition to the Chaos Wastes. Gain reinforcements from the clans of Albion and as the people's belief grows so does the quality of the reinforcements. Be wary though as your exploits grow, challengers of Chaos will come to face you.
    • Albion Storm - Albion is well known for its tumultuous weather and there is a random chance a deadly storm will erupt in one of the regions of Albion which damages enemies and causes custom battle weather.
    • Waystone Restoration - Just like the Lizardmens Geomantic web mechanic the Albion factions can build Waystones on Albion, Waystone Markers in other major settlements or Waystone Beacons in minor settlements in order to boost provincial commandments.


F.A.Q. & Compatibility
Mod Won't Start/Missing Updates
There is a chance after the mod gets updated Steam will fail to download the update, possibly corrupting your version of the mod. If your game crashes on game start, you are missing something from a recent update, or have some other issues try this;
1) Restart Steam
2) Unsubscribe and resubscribe to all the required mods - To properly unsub, unsub from the mod, start the game launcher, quit, and resub. This will give you a fresh install of the mod and often fixes problems for people.
3) Use PropJoes WH3 Mod Manager

Is this mod lore accurate?
With many of these 'Lost Factions', there's little lore to go by, and what there is, is often outdated or extremely vague. In the case of Albion, presenting them as in the lore of the 'Dark Shadows over Albion' campaign would mean that they're a tribe of fairly boring savages with not even a vague sense of culture to them. In light of this, we had to improvise and draw on the obvious Celtic roots of Albion to form a more coherent personality, you will still find many references to official WFB lore pieces old and new, but also wholly new ones like Mhorrinion, who is a character completely made up by the OvN team. Our mod is just one interpretation of many of the vague lore hidden in Warhamme Fantasy and not a 100% lore-accurate mod.

It's been reported that these mod conflict.
  • All Diplomatic Options - Vassalize, Confederate
  • Fudging Vassals
  • Less Red more Art

How do you deal with Be'lakor
If Be'lakor is player controlled he starts as normal but Dural Durak starts in the Citadel of Lead, do with him what you will (destroy). If Be'lakor is an NPC he and his starting agent are moved to the Serpent Jetty, Norsca and they are no longer at war with the Albion Tzeentch faction "The Sightless". If both Be'lakor and Dural Durak are NPC the previous stuff occurs but Dural Durak also gains the Konquata settlement from the Albion Tzeentch faction "The Sightless".

Bug Reporting
Before reporting a bug make sure you have done the following;
1) Subscribed to all the required mods.
2) Turned off all other mods and replicated the bug.
3) Unsubscribed and resubscribed to all the required mods.

If you still have a bug post it to discord, ideally with a screenshot - at the OvN channel on Da Modding Den[discord.gg], Lost Factions[discord.gg] or if it is a small bug you can post in the comments but please try the above at least before posting. This helps us out and saves us time so we can concentrate on genuine bugs.

The creations of the old ones tech seems broken, the ability has no effects or anything other than the name

Yes, that's why I looked it up and corrected it. So that ability was a new bound spell after all, awesome. Now the "Queen of the Ravens" really lives up to her name. The crows were cool but a bit weak to be used other than as a distraction. Nice work, thanks for the quick fix.

That's "Servants of Mhorr", not "Servent of Mhorr" as you said.

Does this small spelling error matter? Yes, it does. We can't remember all the abilities and do search to find them, It was the overlapping unique ID problem. I'll change them on my next chance. Thanks for the report.

@Rhox Well, I have the base version of this mod, I'm not using any other mod that changes lord's abilities and for me, "Servants of Mhorr" is in Mhorriníon's first yellow line skill, just below her -5 wound recovery time perk. I checked videos on YT and noticed in previous versions of this mod, that's where her "Murder of Crows" passive used to be. I'm not sure whether "Servants of Mhorr" was meant to be an additional bound spell or if it's just a UI mistake but either way, that's not a game-breaking problem. Even without that summon, Mhorriníon is still a great lord and her campaign mechanics are really fun. I love the roster too, especially the woad units.

Love the mod, ended up noticing that playing as Dural Durak he is not gaining any experience from battles. Any ideas where to look to find a fix?

I just downloaded the mod and noticed the "Servent of Mhorr" ability doesn't seem to work (unlike the "Watchers of the Ravenqueen" which does work as intended). Still, thumbs up on your great work. Team OvN never dissapoints.

Excellent mod, loving using it. I been playing Ravenqueen faction and have confederated the Druid faction, my faction name defaults to Albion everytime I try to rename it.
