OvN Lost Factions: Grudgebringers

These two mods were created in cooperation and many authors did work for both. They have the same units, but different mechanics, the most basic - Dark Omen allows you to hire a unique army within existing factions, and Grudgebringers give you the opportunity to play as a new separate faction.

Horde Crash

To get started, run only this mod, check that everything works, and it will be just that. Gradually connect your mods to understand which mod is causing the conflict and crash. Only after that write me the name of the mod. Other messages will simply be deleted, I cannot check the entire workshop for clumsiness and conflicts and do not want to.
Be careful about using skill dump mods, some of them are proven to cause CTD when trying to build in Morgan's horde and/or missing skill trees for overlapping heroes with OVN Grudgebringers.

Thank you for creating this I was a big fan of Dark Omen growing up.

Is there any way to implement the Nightmare legion into the mod?

They were one of the first released ROR sets for sale (1987), could there be a side quest where your offered the chance to add them to your roster? Or even recruit Ennio Mordini as a Lord and possibly Renzo Avant as a hero for him?

As they are a mercenary army themselves if they join you, you could get the Scabscrath sword which Mordini holds, but was available in Dark Omen?

Just some thought if they are of any help.

Dark Omen Tweaks updated:

[*] Fixed CTD by updating Land Units Tables
[*] Fixed Ancillaries not being rewarded in level 2 as they should, this affects Grudgebringer's sword for Morgan and Hellfire (or hellfury?) sword for fire wizard dude
[*] DIsabled Ludwig's steam tank mount (at least until his model is fixed, I won't fix it since those assets don't belong to me and I don't yet have permission to use it)

Let's give werebearus time to catch up and until main mod gets updated you can find fixes at my tweaks mod

Hello. Will you be updated for this new TW3 patch? Your Mod is amazing and after getting used to playing with it... it becomes pretty boring without it. Awesome work! Thanks! Ps.: With the update of 06/25/24 and with it, the Game does not start at all.

Hi there, just chipping in letting you know CA has changed one weapon entry this mod uses, causing silent CTD on launch. Other then that it's fine for 5.1 from what I saw :)

I found a workaround for the horde crash when it comes to skill dump mods, I've known this for a long time I just haven't shared it with anyone. Save before moving on the area to recruit Morgan Bernhardt. Move there, click recruit, crash. Start up the game, load save, move to recruit Morgan Bernhardt and once you recruit him it should work. Not sure why this works, it just does for some reason.
