Magical Psycasts Expanded

Описание
Patches Psycasts expanded to be a little more consistent with A Rimworld of Magic.

The biggest/onliest change is the addition of magical trait requirements for most of the paths.

IE: lightning mage for staticlord, chronomancer for chronopath, etc...

Skipmaster is the only one left without a required magical trait. So, you'll always be able to learn this path.

Similar to ARoM's cantrips, you can still learn with psytrainers, I might patch that ability out; let me know what you think.

This will likely be expanded to include more signifigant balance adjustments. Mostly for Psycast Expanded; Torran did a great job as it is for balancing ARoM.

The amount of text that I could include in the "Locked" button was very limited, so don't expect any useful information there, mostly, small hints for what classes unlock that path.

Has support for Alpha Animals and Combat Psycasts, but those aren't required.

If you don't care about finding out for yourself which classes unlock which paths, then you can check the changelog; it's all listed there.

I'm really surprised there isn't one by now, it was the first thing I hoped existed after I finally got Royalty and gave up ARoM for VPE

I think having a mod were the rom classes are instead a vpe class would be nice as an option.

theres a new option for Blood Mage to be linked to, Hemosage
VE psycasts also has another addon for a puppeteer psycast tree but im not sure what magic class it would link to

For some reason, the authors of Vanilla Psycasts Expanded do not allow powerful psionics to appear among the population of the planet. Even the imperial nobles are very weak. It's kind of weird.

It would be great if the patch forbade one pawn from being both a mage and a psionic at the same time. In this case, god-like omnipotent personalities would become somewhat more modest.

And it is desirable that mana and psi-concentration contradict each other. After communication between the magician and psionics, the first would begin to become weak and lose mana, and the second would have a headache and neuro-overheating.

It would be possible to defeat such a misfortune with clothes made of eltex or magic cloth.

Yeah playing this, to me, it just made psycasters kinda dull again, since the vast majority of them were not magically gifted and got their powers before I could get anything to initiate them with. No offense if you prefer it this way, it's your mod and of course I can't tell you what to make ^^;

Maybe bias the first psycast you get towards that path if they already have one that matches, but otherwise if you master a path maybe give them the class without initiation? That would also give another interesting reason to ditch the sunk cost of your first psycast.

Switching classes in RWoM is also really rough and IMO gamey. It's a lot of micromanagement on top of a huge timesink to level back up, usually not something I'd ever willingly do. So maybe if you already have a class, learning psycasts could pop a little dialogue box allowing you to refocus your energies a certain direction, as a small chance per learned ability.

I'm not sure that makes more sense. But as an addition? I like your idea. If I have time, I might add that. Make it so that if you don't already have an ARoM class, then learning a path gives you a relevent class, and also restricts you to learning the paths relevant to the class.
