Recommendations
For Quick & Easy Coins
I highly recommend growing Carrots in a 9x11 farm, this allows for the most efficient repeatable process in the least amount of time. Taking advantage of a Level 10 Friendship Farming Bonus, I averaged over 150+ Carrots across 5 harvests. Gaining me a profit of over 2500+ coins.

Overall Most Profit
Pumpkins are one of the best crops to grow and sell as it has the highest selling price out of any other plant. It's long growing period may serve best for players who may play for a limited amount of time as you can planet and water them before logging off and log back in later for a major profit.

Best Non-Purchase Crop
The Leek offers a fantastic price when sold and does not require you to purchase its seed. If you manage to not find any in the Forgotten Lands you can purchase them in Goofy's Stall. It's short growth time is well worth it when you account for its sell price of 309 coins.

Pumpkins only have to be watered twice in total though, one of them being straight after planting. Personally I'd rather just have my crops do their thing for a few hours, only having to tend to them once rather than having to tend to canola three times over a 35 minute period. But that's just personal ig.

@Prismwind: You are wrong.. you have to consider the planting, watering and harvesting time it takes... Wheat is the least profitable... I timed how long it took me to plant and water my 52 plots... considered that harvesting was roughly taking the same time (but that is random due to random events while harvesting)... it approximatively takes 3.46 sec of overall time to work every plot... which instantly makes wheat the least profitable because all the time you spend planting, watering and harvesting is downtime where you make no profit at all... Go canola if you want the fastest profit.. on top of that, canola takes 1h to grow.. it's easy to sit here for 1h and play and make sure canola is always watered as you play... sitting for 4h in a row to make sure pumpkin is never thirsty is another thing... And it's not growing if not watered...

Honestly comparing growth time to profit per harvest, the best crop is actually Wheat... you just have to babysit it because its growth time is so short. But no other crop has a profit three times its growth time. It's also great for friendship building rapidly, also thanks to its low growth time.
