Got horrific frame pacing in BRINK? Here's a few things you can do to maybe cure your performance!

Task 1: Driver control panel
Following steps apply for nVidia GPU (I believe AMD has a similar control panel)

Right click your desktop and select "NVIDIA control panel"

Once inside go to "Manage 3D settings"

Go to "Program settings" and click the Add button

Once you have clicked the add button a new window will pop up.
Look for brink and select "Add selected program".
If it isnt in the list you can click "Browse..." and find the games executable 'Brink.exe' by hand.

Next, were going to change these settings to what I have listed

Anisotropic filtering -> (Off)
Antialiasing - FXAA -> (Off)
Antialiasing - Gamma correction -> (Off)
Antialiasing - Mode -> (Off)
Antialiasing - Setting -> (None)
Antialiasing - Transparency
Background Application Max Frame Rate -> (Off)
CUDA - GPUs -> (All)
Low Latency Mode -> (Ultra)
Max Frame Rate -> (Off)
Mulri-Frame Sampled AA (MFAA) -> (Off)
OpenGL rendering GPU -> (Auto)
Power management mode -> (Maximum performance)
Texture filtering - Anisotropic sample optimisation -> (Off)
Texture filtering - Negative LOD bias -> (Clamp)
Texture filtering - Quality -> (High performance)
Texture filtering - Trilinear optimisation -> (Off)
Threaded optimisation -> (Auto)
Triple buffering -> (Off)
Vertical sync -> (Off)

NOTE: I assume its just one of these settings that causes BRINK to die, but I dont know which one so I just opt to disable them all

Once done click "Apply"

That finishes what I believe to be the most common problem.
Task 2: Overlays
I've had reports that any form of overlay can also kill performance and frame pacing.

Overlays to note are;
Steam
MSI afterburner
Discord
nVidia shadowplay (and presumably AMD equivalent)
Xbox game bar

Its hard to get these right, if you sit on the main menu with the framerate counter up and then open and close each overlay you might spot the game return to normal performance in the background. This is often the case for the steam overlay.
Task 3: Config files
You can adjust settings not exposed by the normal ingame settings by usingin a config editor, personal pick is This one[www.rush-zone.com].

The game config is stored at:

your steam install -> userdata -> random number -> 22350 -> local -> base
