Kamov KA-52 "Alligator"

Kuvaus
'Wanna fly a somewhat heavy but easy to fly Attack Chopper? Now you can deliver rounds into targets, without even looking at them…

The Kamov KA-52 is a double-seated Russian Attack Helicopter with a distinctive coaxial rotor system. It is the direct successor of the KA-50 "Black Shark".
Following the start of its series production on October 29, 2008, it is now primarily used for combat missions against other attack helicopters but also against ground targets.

Equipment of this KA-52:
- 2 laser-guided air-to-ground missiles
- 2 radar-guided air-to-air missiles
- 16 unguided azimuth rockets
- Rotary Autocannon
- Fuselage turret with a light autocannon (manual or automatic target acquisition / firing)
- Flares

Top speed: ~130 km/h
Jet fuel capacity: 2515 liters

Boarding the Helicopter:

To get into the helicopter, you need to open the cockpit doors. Use the ladders to get inside the cockpit (which is easier to get into if you are already crawling while climbing the ladders).

Step 1:
Turn on the main electronics (key button at the bottom)

Step 2:
Switch on the preswitch / primer, the fuel pump as well as the engine ignition sequence at the center console

Step 3:
Switch on the taxiing motors and disable the wheel brakes for taxiing onto runways

Step 4:
Wait for enough engine speed (around 7-10 RPS) and lift off! Retract your landing gear and you are good to go.

You are also able to turn on collision lights, landing lights and a cockpit light via the upper center console.

This helicopter also comes with a build-in GPS System with Auto-Pilot function.
When no waypoint is entered, the Auto-Pilot only consists of a simple „altitude-hold“ mechanism. Once you have entered your desired waypoint, simply elevate to a safe height and turn on the Auto-Pilot. Now it will automatically steer in the desired direction. …Watch out for mountains

Weapon Control:

Enable the main weapons system via the orange console.
This allows to control the autocannon turret via the CO-Pilot seat but also enables the missiles (buttons 3, 4, 5, 6).
The turret is equipped with an infrared laser, which is used by the laser-guided air-to-ground missiles for target acquisition.
Keep this in mind, while targeting: the laser sensors for the missiles only have a maximum FOV of 120 degrees.

When a target is within range of the turret (~500m), a red box is automatically drawn around the target on the gunner's screen. The gunner can now select the "Auto Aim" option on the orange console, which will cause the turret to automatically aim at the target. Last but not least, the turret will automatically start firing at the target once the "Auto Fire" option is selected.

To reload, simply turn off the main weapons system switch. This will draw the turret back into starting position to reload.

I hope you will have some fun with my creation since this is my first larger build.
Please note that this is still some-what of a work in progress. I am happy to receive positive criticism and feedback.

Special thanks to Youtube-Creator MrNJersey for inspiration and countless tutorials on LUA-Scripts and other builds.
