Of course annoying when such things dull the own gaming experience. Especially when it comes to mandatory online mode and in contrast to that, they should have made a lot of money with it, if you look e.g. at steamspy :/

(and that the game reloads itself EVERY TIME, just because of a connection failure - i don't even remember an old game that might had to do this - all other games give you the error, trow you back to the serverbrowser and you have to try connect to another server/host instead.
Idk what the reason for a complete reload of the game could even be, it makes no sense to me why it does this - eighter it has established a connection and then starts to load the lobby/map, or it breaks up the process and just stays where it is - i mean, they clearly don't unload the game while in the serverbrowser, so if establishing a connection fails there hasn't anything to be reloaded!)

I'm not even mad that it might fail at times (like a single connection attempt or even to a specific host) - that the internet works most of the time is already a miracle (and ofc the result of pretty good work done by invisible workforce - wich luckily aren't paid badly as usual, at least in germany) - but that it's so prevalent and a constant issue since at least while i own this game - the only difference i noticed was that some updates made it worse to a point it was a constant problem, and now it seems to got a bit less frequently, but still, when it happens it's constant and neighter restarting the game nor my own network can fix it - you as the player just have to live with it when it happens and are forced to eighter singleplayer or play another game!

Well, i have to admit i didn't check what they actually use - i just felt uniquely bad compared to other Unreal Engine 3 (well, now 4 - but that explaines why this issue persisted despite the engine port) games xP

But to be fair, Valve might not be much of a help if it comes to implementing issues - and it kinda puts Ghost Ship Games or even Coffee Stain Studios in a worse light, both could afford their own Servers to manage a P2P game! - especially at that revenue they made with DRG!
Both are not obligated to cheap out on this by using Valves service.

the worst thing about it - the game reloads itself EVERY SINGLE TIME - just because it couldn't connect, this is just bad by design!
