Warhammer 3 LOD Distance Enhanced

Description
Greetings fellow Total War players!

It appears that Warhammer 3 have a much shorter LOD(level of detail) distance than in previous titles, especially for units.

And in TW Warhammer 3 every unit has 4 LOD levels.
LOD0 is the main high def model
LOD1 is the secondary mid quality model
LOD2 is the third and low quality model
LOD3 is the final and very poor quality model (meant to be seen at very far distances so it is unoticable)

The screenshots I have uploaded shows the maximum distances a specific LOD level model loads for different type of units.

And it seems there is also a bug with the LOD1 level as it barely even loads for some units which makes the short LOD distance in Warhammer 3 even worse. The colors in the screenshots are references to each LOD.

Green - LOD0
Blue - LOD1
Pink - LOD2
Red - LOD3

This mod aims to fix or at least enhance this distance to give you a much more visually pleasing gaming experience.

What does this mod do?

• Alters the art.xml files to allow for a longer LOD distances for units.

How compatible is the mod?

• Should work with anything really.
• But be warned, because of the nature of this mod it will always load. It is in a movie type packfile so disabling it wont really disable it. You need to delete it from your data or content folders to remove the mod from your game.

Is there a performance impact?
• There is a performance impact and it can be significant or minor depending on your system.

Can I customize this for my system?
• Yes, look at my guide for how to make this mod yourself and see section 3 for where you need to look.

Recommended Mod: I made this mod as a more real solution to many fixes in my Visual Bug Fixes mod, but it is still recommended because it also fixes many other visual bug.

This should still work without needing to update it. But I will get around to fixing the checkmark at some point, but the patch released at a very bad time for me so it may be a while.

update pls

That would be awesome, but as far as I know it is more hardcoded into the engine. At least I have not found any modifier that works for the LoD for vfx.
I agree with Doge. That'd be so good. *cough*

I wish there was a mod like this but for increasing the distance of VFX effects on units, like glowing eyes, glowing weapons, the distance is really short in Warhammer 3 just like it is for unit model LoDs.

@Evono As far as I know, the LoD for animations work differently from the LoD on the models.
There is also a last type of LoDs not touched on by this mod as it is an LoD where they swap out the model with much lower quality ones at a very far zoom distance. I have removed these in my Resize Matters No LOD mod. But I won't include that in this mod as this works very differnetly.

@Stankyarmpits It does what it says in the description and shown in the pictures. I am not sure why it does not work for you, but it seems to work perfectly fine on my end. Perhaps you have a conflicting mod that alters the same file or something?

What's the point of this mod? It doesn't do anything.

hmm i got SFO , a few campaign map mods , Mixus lords... and stuff all in like 18 mods including yours , i am playing atm Nurgle and the units seem to degrade in model quality still at the same zoom out in battle with it on you can see it actually quite good because when the "bad" model loads they dont run anymore "straight" but a bit sideways model wise and lower quality. i might test a bit around maybe its some weird conflict.

@Evono No this should work no matter what load order you put it in, unless you have a mod that also have the same files that is, in fact it works even if you do not have it enabled as it is a special type of packfile which is required for it to work, but can't really be disabled.
