Basics Guide for Streamer Daily September 2022
De chicken007
Basics guide to help new players get started with the Streamer Daily simulator. I'm open to questions, suggestions, and collaboration.
Click on the PC Case and Build your PC. Install Best Parts button in the bottom-left and then Exit. Click on the PC case a second time and turn its Power On.
Now Click on the PC monitor to get into the computer desktop. Loading... You have Mail.
Not funded by the Totally Fictional Cold Cereal Lobby... However, breakfast cereal is sure a convenient and crunchy on-the-go snack.

Basics, the, Standard Issue
  • Right-click to put an object back where it was when you picked it up.
Perhaps after you have walked through the space it was blocking.
This trick is super useful for navigating one's owned spaces, for example when exiting an elaborate desk.
Basic Knowledge (info screen)
Press the Tab key in the FPS interface to open the in-game menu. Now hold the mouse-over the parts of the screen until words appear. Behold! The Information.
Breathe calmly. I will describe Followers and Subscribers under the Popularity section.

Daily Game Hype
I find it preferable to habitually check each day's hyped / popular games soon after they change at midnight, rather than after I get off work and am in no condition to Stream.

Inventory
This displays carried items, Packages of items, and the status of incoming deliveries.
  • Some have "place me" buttons when appropriate.
  • While inside a store, one can mouse-over a button on an already-purchased Package here to display its contents.

Skills
These Upgrades improve game aspects without raising popularity.

Wealth
These Upgrades raise popularity without improving game aspects. Except for the House which improves both and Beatcoin which does neither.
Making Money
There are many money-making options in addition to the core game-play mechanics of Streaming for Donations and Winning Tournaments.
Dream Job / Day Job
  • Go To Work at a Dream Job on time, or up to two (2) hours early (without additional reward) to earn raises and promotions.
  • Being late to work will reduce pay and can lead to being fired from the job.
  • Note that Energy depletes while at the Job, requiring hours of sleep to recover. This effectively increases the number of hours one requires to successfully hold the job. The Fisherman job leaves very little time for gaming and sleep.

  • Take out a 30-day bank loan. Carefully note and consider the daily payment amounts.
  • Literally grind money in Freelance. Time goes fast, but some money is often preferable to being penniless.

  • Purchase and rent out houses.
  • Get lucky with a Random Event or Sponsorship.
  • Gamble by opening loot boxes for weapon "skins." The skins are automatically sold for money, so Money Goes in and Money Comes out. A sort of one-armed bandit mini-game.
  • Mine cryptocurrency with Beatminer Macrosoft App. Such constant use at maximum power quickly damages PC hardware durability. Recommend buying a second PC case when one upgrades past the starter PC, so you can play dangerously with a used system with minimal resale value. Or, like, at least don't burn your gaming PC up like ... my friend ... did. Yeah.
    My friend. Ha ha ha
    .

YouStop
YouStop allows the player to upload Videos of game play Streams for a Passive income, meaning automatic daily money deposits. The player's Streams are apparently automatically recorded somewhere irrelevant.
One must Edit and Upload videos with the the YouStop Uploader Macrosoft app to receive that tasty passive income. Doing so is a two-step process.
  1. The Player Character must Edit the video on their PC, which takes time (clock advances).

  2. The Video Upload begins as soon as Editing is complete.
A pop-up informs you that that Streaming is disabled until the Upload completes. I like to match Uploads with food, sleep, and social need maintenance activities of similar time duration.
Popularity
  • Viewers watch most anybody play one of the Hyped / Popular Games, which change each day. Check them on the General Knowledge screen. (default key: tab, in FPS interface)
  • Ways to turn Viewers into Subscribers and Followers include high stream quality, good viewer engagement, and (drumroll please) ... Upgrades!
  • Certain (upgraded hehehe) versions of each mini-game increase Subscribers, Followers, and Respect when in-game actions are performed.

  • Respect is like a Health Bar for Popularity. Normally increased by chatting (clicking on fresh texts) and decreased by advertising (find the button on the Chat interface).

  • Subscribers are chatty Viewers who like your Stream intensely. The number of Current Subscribers appears to decrease automatically, for good cause, and/or mysteriously. I'm guessing one acquires them quickly in late-game.

  • Popularity multiplied by ten defines your Follower capacity. You will get a warning pop-up instead of a Follower when capacity is reached.
  • Popularity is increased by buying stuff, mostly through the Akei and Ecaltos online stores. See the Wealth page for full list of tiered upgrades.
Each Wealth Item starts at level 0 ($50 / 50 popularity each, a total of about 1000 popularity / 10,000 Followers) and can be upgraded to level 5 ($500 / 500 popularity each, about 100,000 Followers).
Camera View Improvement
  • Streaming hardware and software can be upgraded to improve the Broadcast Quality.
  • Better cameras make the inset camera view appear less pixelated. Lighting helps, too.
  • Decorate your set (room) by placing objects using Ye Olde FPS Interface.
Property Ownership
  • Right-click to put an object back where it was when you picked it up.
  • Click the My Properties to move to a House which you already own but are currently renting out for income.
Important House Moving Tip
  • Moving house takes a whopping eight (8) hours. This can make one miss Work at the Day Dream job or damage one's health.
Going Shopping
Don’t like Waiting 3 Days for shipping? Go shopping! It costs $20 and takes two (2) hours.
  • Packaged games purchased in shops include a wall poster with that game’s cover-art.

  • Examining items in shops reveals more information than one can get from the website stores.
  • PC part qualities (bonuses) are not always directly related to the item's price. Dang! What is up with the statistics on those coolers?

  • Items are more expensive in shops than online stores.
  • One can review each item's full statistics at a Shop, plan a build, and then return home to order the parts online and save money, but wait three (3) days for shipping.
  • One can save the most significant amount of money on the purchase of expensive items.
Tutorials and Spoilers
The Tutorial Tasks
Read emails to accept tutorial-style Tasks which park themselves on-screen.
  • Some tasks take the form of bets, which work the same but with a time deadline.
  • Signing out then back in (to the in-game PC) will spawn the next email once a task is complete.
  • If a Task has a time deadline, a little bar on the side of its on-screen Task display will shrink. That bar's small size makes it difficult to gauge the precise ending of larger time-spans.
I recommend retaining the email for any task lasting more than a week.
  • I have not figured out a way to Send money to your father except by retaining his emails containing the request.

Warning: One can stall the tutorial upgrade task progress at 'buy a motherboard' by failing to complete the purchase of any monitor before buying an appropriate motherboard.
Before shopping, one can read all emails to get the tasks, then immediately order any Monitor online, and re-login to read the'motherboard' task email.

Slow Start
Save early-game money for tutorial tasks. It's a slow paced way to play some games and familiarize yourself with many systems by using them.
Note that the guides below simply postpone starting these Tutorial missions until after earning substantial starting money. Gosh, I hope translating's allowed.

I like his style. Please give his guide Thumbs-Up if you do, too.
Pryn1k_Man suggests not streaming at all at first, and working to accumulate lots of money before starting.
Pryn1k_Man a écrit :
How to quickly earn money? Naturally, as in the real world, the newly opened channel will not have many subscribers and certainly will not make much money. Therefore, it is worth starting from the very beginning with work, getting a top-end computer and clothes, and only then start streaming. Why? Because, focusing only on work, you will be promoted and you will receive good money, and if you miss streams, followers will not fall on your channel, because they will not be there. I think without screenshots and a special explanation, everyone understands what I wanted to say) If someone helped, put your fingers up and throw thanks)

adoget's guide (link above) really maximizes income before Streaming.
Take a big loan, buy a house to rent out for income, and grind for cash with Freelance while you work the longest day Dream job.
I played my starter games (offline through Gasoline) for experience instead of Freelance-ing after the first day.
adoquet a écrit :
1-Start freelancing as soon as you start the game
2-Take a loan of 5000TL from the bank and rent a house
3-Choose the longest job from Dream Jobs
4-Complete 5-6 days with these jobs, you both have a house and money
:)
Quick Start Guided Walkthrough
  1. Immediately Click on the PC Case and Build your PC. A button on the bottom-left will do it all instantly. Figure out list-scrolling then close the screen.
  2. Click on the PC case a second time to turn the Power On.
  3. Now Click on the PC monitor to get into the computer desktop. Loading...

  4. First go into Mail Box and read messages to accept all New Tasks. Delete the messages or do not, as you prefer.
  5. Exit Mail Box and Click The Icon In the Lower-Left Corner. Select Shut Down.
  6. Back outside the Desktop in the FPS Interface. Note the Task(s) you Accepted are now floating on the screen.

  7. Click the PC case to Power it On and then Click the PC Screen to go back to the Desktop and our tour will begin. Loading...
No flash photography, please. It's a screen, it'll just reflect. Fine, go ahead. Ha! Told you. Ahem. Continuing to the Desktop.

  8. OBS is where you will Stream games, once you install some.
  9. Click Gasoline and install your 3 freebie games. You start with the packaged versions of these games (in the bookshelf) which lets you install them instantly. Installation starts once one clicks the Hard Drive name. Note that you can play the installed games locally here on Gasoline, to play games without starting a Stream with OBS, to improve Game Genre experience levels.
    Back out to the Desktop.

  10. SD Browser is a like web browser: it's got a little bit of everything and a whole lot of online stores. Go in there now.
  11. Open Forest, which is the standard Computer (PC parts) store. Buy any monitor; I like the $80 one. Make sure to Confirm Cart and Pay for it.
  12. Exit out of the browser and click the icon in the bottom left (or just hit Esc) and select Sign Out. FPS mode again. Note that the computer is still running, unlike with the Shut Down option.

Which is fine because you may also notice that time is still frozen at 06:00. Time only moves in games, performing work, or when one uses
(leans in close, hissing whisper) The Magic Door. (whips head around to glare at wall to the upper-right of the door)

  13. Also note that just purchasing the Monitor satisfied the Task. It’s gone from the FPS screen.
  14. Hit 'e' to see the monitor’s shipping details. The 100% reliable online store always makes delivery in three (3) days.
  15. Click on the PC monitor to get into the Desktop again. Instantly. (!)
  16. Read the new message in the Mail Box. Blah blah "Level-2 Motherboard?” Good good.

  17. Go back into the SD Browser and let's examine the other Online Stores:
Fake Forest store which sells the same items for less money, but introduces risk of late parts, wrong parts, damaged parts, empty boxes.
Macrosoft Store sells Apps such as the YouStop Uploader and Beatminer.
Advafone sells upgraded Internet (modems) with One (1) Day shipping. Perfect for making a post-work order that arrives after your disco-nap.
Heygo sells used (already-worn) PC parts. Um, yeah, that's what it looks like.
(claps hands, whistles) Let's get the stragglers back to the SD Browser menu.

  18. The Financial websites include:
    Dream Jobs are day jobs.
Each job's hours never change, but the pay will increase about double with promotions.
A Plumber simply can't make much money working 4 hours a day, but a Fisherman is gone 14 hours a day and may struggle to find time to game, eat, and sleep.
I like Cashier for its full-tilt moneymaking with room for sleep, and Worker for its reasonable 8 hour day and early quitting time.
Freelance Lets one earn a little money by mindlessly slapping the spacebar. Makes time pass very quickly.
Bank XIII provides Loans. 30 day loans with daily payments. Note: One cannot Increase a Loan or take out a second Loan until the first loan is paid in full.
Skinner Lets one gamble. Throw some money at it, if you dare.
Beatcoin Is a place to buy and sell the game's Cryptocurrency.

  19. Wealth Items replace the basic $50 starter stuff with nicer stuff to allow you to have more Followers. Most Wealth Items are available in six (6) different levels of value, from the basic $50 to the top-tier $500 items. The game sums these numbers to calculate Popularity, and total Followers is precisely ten (10) times that number.
The Ownership websites sell many such Wealth Items:
    Simon's Premium Cars sells cars.
Ecaltos Sells six (6) different pieces of clothing,
Western Estate sells Houses and Akei sells House upgrades. May not be unlocked yet.

  20. Other Section
ESP is where one plays Tournaments, list updated daily. Tournament games runs on one's own PC, so have a powerful one, and high Game Genre skills, to win. Not unlocked immediately, either.
Switch is a mumble mumble mumble but they're one of our sponsors so have a purple keychain! Yay!
Paspas Pet store sells captive Lifeforms. I've only unlocked fish so far, but there's a beagle on the opening zoom sequence. And the pet store has a back room for pet food.

Shopping at an actual Store
  • Shopping takes two hours and costs $20.
  • Shopping is quite important because it is The Way to determine specific Statistics of Items and PC Parts not shown on the websites. These statistics are revealed during the purchase process.
  • One could go to the PC Part Shop now to research parts for that level-2 Motherboard build. Once such decisions are made, one could return home and order the parts from Forest to save some money in exchange for that 3 day delivery delay.
    This concludes our tour.
Meh. It’s a living. Thanks for asking, though.
2:45 Group, raise your hands. Over here. Single file by… (hissing) the Door.
