In previous Elden Ring patches, wrong warping into the Royal Capital was the go to method to skip most of the first part of the game. However, in the current 1.06 patch, wrong warping does not seem to work for the Royal Capital.

Surprisingly, the ruptured tear glitch still works! It is incredibly harder now than it was in previous patches. Timing for this exploit is vital to getting it right.

Before we begin you will need the ruptured tear crystal. You can get it from the Minor Erdtree in Western Liurnia of the Lakes.

Warp to the Divine Bridge in Leyndell from the Tower of Return. Grab a ruptured tear and drink it as you fall down. You have three seconds before the explosion. You are going to use a melee attack just before that explosion. Doing this causes your height to reset and allows you to cancel the fall damage.

Now that the fall damage has been cancelled, you have access to the lift and the rest of the Royal Capital.

This glitch was super tough and it took me days to get the clips of me getting it right. I sincerely hope this help out my fellow Tarnished with their journey!
