Sonic The Hedgehog - Terios The Prototype

Terios is the beta design used for Shadow The Hedgehog. While Sonic Adventure 2 (2001) was being developed, SEGA needed a new rival for the blue blur. Enter the Ultimate Lifeform. before we got Shadow The Hedgehog, we were originall going to get a darker, more muscular version of Sonic, called Terios. In latin this roughly translates to "Reflection of" which would play into the light vs dark theme the game was going for.
