Lore

The Saxonia's construction started in March 1901 and was completed in February 1902.
She was a cargo and passenger carrying vessel with four sister ships, and a maximum capacity of 61 crew, and 22 passengers.
She had two propellers, powered by two triple expansion steam engines, with four scotch boilers, giving the ship a maximum speed of 11 knots.
Saxonia's career started off quite eventless, though she had an incident where she hit another ship while leaving the port of Southampton and majorly damaging that ship.
She was converted to a troop ship in the first world war, carrying troops from England to Germany.
In that time, she was chased by multiple u-boats, but she was in almost all cases able to escape.
One time, though, she was hit by a torpedo, flooding her boiler room, but she didn't sink.
A destroyer was nearby to help out and chase away the u-boat, whilst the Saxonia righted herself up and went back to England to be repaired.
Because of this incident, she gained a reputation for herself.
After the first world war, she was converted back to a passenger ship.
There were no major incidents after this, the ship had a great and successful career as a passenger ship, and was then scrapped in August 1931.
In 1962, a book was released titled "The unsinkable troopship", a fictional story about what could've happened if the ship didn't survive the incident.

Special thanks to DerZyschopath, for the propellers, furniture, and advising me.

And special thanks to Jesse Gillett for making a video about the ship.
