Introduction
Enemies within this game can be befriended after being killed knocked out unconscious and taken aback to life by use of the Command Undead skill, and multiple enemies can be accompanying you so long as you possess the skills Continous binding 1-2-3,which will limit the ammount of companions that you can take with you at once.
Unfortunately,a problem that most players tend to face when trying to make a large group is the infighting between the members of it,which proves to be helpless even with the use of the spell Calm.
As previously stated, this guide aims to provide insight as to how to create a perfectly harmonious squad, that cooperates with eachother and does not show signs of aggresion after a fight.
The image above is a great example of it,showing three companions in perfect calm with eachother.
Mechanics
This section will cover some of the elements that can affect group harmony, the relationships between characters and some stuff that might not be obvious at first.
Starting first with the obvious:
  • Companions that have fought with eachother before being resurrected by Command Undead will have their harmony affected, depending on the lenght of the fight it can be as minimal as possible,or have a huge impact in the harmony..
In some cases this can result in the two that have fought being unable to walk near eachother without going into a combat stance, something that, although could be slightly fixed with calm, ultimately it is a long task to restore the harmony.
  • Companions that spend time with eachother and have positive intearctions with eachother will become less prone to fight, building trust over time.
Exactly as it says, they wont stay in a combat pose after finishing combat for long, and will be able to both attack simultaneously at an enemy, instead of one attacking while the other watches, however this is dependant on what is done in that time. Positive interactions include passing time together, travelling through unseen areas together. Fighting can have a negative effect on both of them, specially if theyre engaging the same enemy.
  • The initial harmony level between characters is dependant on some factors, and thus some characters are prone to be in good terms with eachother.
Which means that what determines if two companions fight with eachother is the roles that they have, previous interactions, and previous preconceptions based on who they are.
Some of the characters that tend to have good harmony between eachother tend to be oneof the blademasters, and the jailor captain.
  • Derrin DOESNT have terrible harmony with most characters,THEY have terrible harmony towards him, even if they have never met him.
At most, make sure to leave derrin behind before engaing in fight with someone you wish to resuscitate and take alongside derrin.
Some people have reported cases of him and some characters being on terms with eachother, but its really dependant on their roles and how they perceive eachother.
Thaumaturgy: What to use,When to use it.
Starting with,as a pre-requirement to assembling together a crew is the last spell in the top branch of the mind thaumaturgy tree: Command undead.
Once you got this skill, and multiple levels of Continuity, you'll be able to start assembling a posse.
Now we will go over the other skills, and talk about which ones are actually useful for keeping the peace in your group, and how to correctly use them.
Starting of course, with one of the first spells that you can possibly unlock, specially if you didnt start with any previous skills from global xp.
Calm.
Calm is used to lower the state of agitatedness that can occur when theres low harmony between two members of your party, specially if they've become agitated because of combat. Keep in mind, the use of this spell will NOT raise the harmony between the party members,it will merely keep them at bay from in-fighting,and using it is more of a bandaid fix on a bigger problem.
Let us continue with the next spell, which will prove very useful to keep track of how your fellows are doing in terms of mental status:
Mind Sense/Continous Mind Sense

This skill ,particularly the continous version, is useful if you are running alonsgide just 2 companions, since it allows you to monitor if they are close to conflict,or the opposite, how close they are to becoming in terms with eachother. A constant yellow state of mind indicates that they are fidgety, close to fighting with one another, and its recommended that you take it slow and make them have positive interactions with eachother, such as travelling without combat, and spending time together.
Noteworthy Consorts
Blademaster/s

These dual-wielding characters can be tough to take down due to their master tier combat expertise, but they can prove extremely powerful allies when fighting monsters from the market.
One of them in specific tends to have great harmony when paired with the jailor captain.
Jailor Captain

Aside from having a just outright beautiful looking axe and armour set, this specific character's prowess with it could prove helpful even when fighting heavily armoured foes in the foundry.
City Guards

Plenty of them around in the city, and they come in all shapes and sizes, some of them wearing shields and swords, while others use mere small clubs. They tend to have good harmony with the jailor captain, remnants of their previous life.
Themin

A hero of the people,he can be found lying defeated in the ground on a tavern in the markets.
Make sure to re-equip him with his spetum, and re-shine his equipment to bring that black tinted armour to its full glory, since he makes for a really good companion as stated by Madoc in the official discord server.
Happy families Collage
If you have any cool 3-4 or higher squad pictures, please do share them with me! i'll add them to the guide in this section and place them alongside a title and a description of them! Qxx#8160

I've heard that Themin and the guy in the market sewers are the only undead who will never attack each other. Will they attack Derrin, though? What about random passive zombies from other levels? I'd love to try getting a squad of 3 or more if possible.

Thanks, I will plan it out next run

It'd be totally possible to do so,but less than optimal, and at the current state of the game, too grindy.. The preferred way to do it is to have your companions not interact with other possible recruits.

Soo, is it possible to for example raise enemies with "command dead" that you have killed together with a companion and then build good harmony between them? I guess it would require excessive amounts of "calm" and quite a bit of luck?
I wish there was some kind of a "complete brainwash/cause total amnesia" power. Also, shouldn't undead that you reanimate not really remember their past lives/unlives?
I guess I'm just a bit unhappy that I killed three of the armoured force thaumaturges in way which caused them to hate each other...

Madoc has explained that direct trust will only work as a bandaid fix,and that it cannot really solve the issue of bad harmony.

How does directed trust thaumaturgy affect all this?
