Mutie's Bait Tooltips

설명
Functionality

A simple addition to any bait or trap that will show what animals can be caught by their use.

Supports all animals added to the trap system, even from mods. Also supports all traps, and baits, including those added by mods.

For vanilla content, this will display chances to catch birds, rats, mice, rabbits, and squirrels.

When used by other Mutie tooltip mods, you can change the mod load order to control the order of tooltips.

New: Support for Mod Options to show colour-coded relative strength, and SandboxVars to add required Trapping skill.

Compatibility

Fully compatible with Eris' Food Expiry mod (as seen in the screenshots) - Food Expiry tooltip not included in this mod.

Also fully compatible with any mod adding trappable animals, baits, and traps.

Translation

The mod should automatically use the localised strings for your language, and be compatible with any language that vanilla Project Zomboid is localised in, as well as the languages that your modded items and recipes are available in.

The probability is a setting you can enable in the Mod Options.

Only the bait type is displayed, not the probability number.

I've taken a look at the HUD sub-mod from Monster Sauce QOL and I'm afraid that the way the info cards is implemented means they are throwing away all other tooltip manipulation, such as what I've done in my mods :(

There's supposed to be a player settings somewhere, if you want to disable the sauce QOL feature from affecting food items. My tooltips work on traps, even with the QOL pack - you may lose functionality such as expiry date information if you don't have a suitable other mod to provide that info.

If it is possible, you can disable the evolved recipe info from Monster Sauce and instead use my Evolved Recipe Tooltips mod.

For now, I'll look at a solution that doesn't require that and works out of the box - I don't have any immediate ideas on why Extra Sauce should kill my tooltip, but you can also try loading my mod first in the load order.

Well I think because in his pack it will list what all the food items can mix with below, in the More Info on Food tab in the mod. For instance, it will show every evolved recipe that the ingredient can go in below the item. Like for Corn it would say things like Corn soup, corn stew, etc. So I think that might be taking the place of the listing on what the ingredient can go in. The only thing I can think of to combat would be if you added a option to right click on the food item and select something like Trapping Uses. But that would be a lot of work for something that maybe not a lot of people use lol. At least this is my best guess. Thank you!

Hey @kev2490, do you have any leads on what could be the issue in Monster Sauce's pack? I can take a look at it tomorrow, but it'd be best to have a good place to start :)
