Better Resources

Description
Better Resources mod for Space Engineers

This mod adds a lot of new resources, ore types include: Copper, Bauxite, Lithium, Oil Shale, Titanium, Nitre, Sulfur, Wolframite and Galena. Some of the ores will give multiple ingot types when refined, for example Bauxite will give Aluminium and Gallium, Oil Shale will give Crude Oil and Sulfur, Wolframite will give Tungsten and Tin. All default "Space Engineers" planets, asteroids and the moon will spawn the new resources.

• Most ammunition will require Brass, Gunpowder and Lead, Sabots will require Tungsten and warheads will require Plutonium.

• Lithium and Lithium-Sulfur batteries will output far more power and have a larger storage capacity, but will have no initial charge (cells will not grind to scrap)

• Petrol can be made from crude oil to power petrol engines, which are far more efficient than hydrogen engines.

• Elite tools and weapons will often require Brass, Aluminium, Plastic, Rubber, Titanium and Optics resulting in better performance and less weight.

• LED lights can be made from Plastic and Gallium, which are much brighter and more power efficient.

• GaAs Solar Panels can be made from Aluminium and Gallium offering better energy harvesting performance.

• Titanium components and high-torque motors make pistons with longer ranges possible (only x2 implemented at the moment).

• Composite Plate armour made from depleted Uranium and Titanium offers strength and durability, nuclear waste from reactors will need to be processed for depleted Uranium.

• Upgrade modules will need advanced electronics to build.

• Medkits and Powerkits can be made in the laboratory equipment block.

Please see below for a full breakdown of the resources

Some of the weapons use the Scope framework, which can be found here - https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2754014019

Assembler flaw - You want to produce gunpowder and have all the ingredients necessary, but are getting the "Missing Items" error. This is because SE doesn't move the Sulfur into the assemblers main inventory, so you'll need to manually do this, or use an inventory manager to automate the process for you.

I hope you can do it, I use your mod all of the time and have recently come back myself. Thanks

@naylorp1 Keen probably have added a flag to indicate if it's a drop off item, or not. I'll change it when I get the chance, but I haven't played SE for a long time and don't own the last 3 DLC's

So the new Core Systems update has just landed. When you now drop off everything with Alt and mouse click, it drops your tools and O2 / Hydrogen bottle into the container. It must be reading your tools and so on as ore, components which it automatically drops off.

@benwill0919 I'm glad you're enjoying the mod, thanks for the positive feedback

Also for anyone struggling with the assembler not accepting parts like plastic and other modded components, Izy's Inventory Manager does the trick for all parts and works with every item :)

I was getting bored playing normal Space Engineers so I took a look around the workshop and stumbled across this. Transformed the game immediately and I've been having so much fun dealing with the logistics of so many different resources and new parts required to build blocks. After a few hours I was able to build my first mining ship and it took so much blood, sweat and tears and felt so rewarding to get it done. Absolutely astonishing work, a highly recommended addition to any survival collection!

@Xander Bishop You get a small amount of Niobium when refining Lithium, which you should be able to find on the Earth-like planet. Pegmatite Lithium will show as Lithium on the ore detector.
I'm not sure why you can't find the advanced refinery, do you have progression enabled in the game settings?

I can see that you have done well to keep this mod up to date and working with the game changes. I I have really enjoyed it because it adds more of a challenge to get a base going and prevents the "streamlined" methods. I have ran into an issue where I do not see "advanced refinery" (I took it literal just to cover every angle) in the build options and I have been trying to find the ore to make Niobium. I haven't looked on other planets yet but I have not found any ore that with that name "Pegmatite Lithium" yet. I have not seen any asteroids with it or the round trip from Earth to Moon.

@Neoplex Okay, I'll investigate this when I get the chance.

I've noticed that the railgun (for iron projectiles) can't be dragged to the quickbar in the G menu to fire with the mouse. It's basically the same as with the drills. Please check and fix this.
