run game only from game folder
rmb on steam library>properties>local files>choose folder and run mafiadefinitiveedition app
never run launcher and block in game options
always run app with administrator rmb mouse or choose on properties
or add command to steam launch options:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mafia Definitive Edition\mafiadefinitiveedition.exe" %command%

full disable antivirus software and add mafia ( I have launcher too) to exceptions

disable on steam properties (first table) steam in game and SteamVR

if you driver not work(have only nvidia) download old without control panel app, I have 472.84 from
nvidia download official site.

Sorry for amd users don't know

run game with default graphic option, if needed disable Vsync. It,s work for my old PC,
like run game in fullscreen ofc change resolution if needed. if your game work too slow move or get
on new ssd

at the end if you use windows 10 latest version (minimum 19.09)

Last point: if you have latest driver and game/pc still crashes/freezing return to older proper drivers,
clean install ofc.
