Michigan - Steamboat (1833 - 1841)

The Michigan was launched in 1833 from the Oliver Newberry shipyard in Detroit Michigan. The Michigan upon its launch was given the honorary title of "Queen of the Lakes" being the largest and fastest steamer then afloat on lake Michigan. The Michigan mainly served the Buffalo, NY to Green Bay, WI trade route but was also chartered to other ports all around lakes. The Michigan was only officially involved in one accident when in 1835 the Michigan collided with the schooner Independence. The Michigan would serve an ordinary life as a packet steamer until the spring of 1841 when the Michigan was towed into the Detroit River and dismantlement.

- 1 Ring Deck Bell
- 2 Telegraph Up
- 3 Telegraph Down

How To Light Boiler
- Open firebox door (Keep open)
- Turn on light boiler key

Start Regular Sink:
- Head to the starboard boiler face
- Press the "Spring a Leak" button

Start Explosive Sink:
- Head to port boiler face
- Press the "Boiler Explosion" button

Note: You will easily sink in heavy waves due to the open design
