Hello everyone and welcome to this Dinkum Guide, today i am gonna show & talk about the very basics of Farming Crops, planting tree/fruit tree seeds for creating orchards & talk abit about Animals husbandry.


Now lets get into the guide, How do you get started with creating a proper farm, ones you have obtained the before mention licences required from Fletch you have to get a few other things.

For Crops you will need to buy a Hoe, Watering can & some seeds from the NPC Rayne, for Raising your first Animals & to buy feed & feed bowl you need Irwin, you will need a Shovel from John for creating the Fruit Orchards.

Lets start with the farm fields, after getting the right supplies from Rayne & have the farming License, you can use the hoe to tilt the soil one at a time, then with the seeds in your hands right click them into the soil to sow them, and finally make sure to water them every day after that with the watering can, which you can easily refill by any water source like a river.
(Might be a good idea to put a fence around it as well to prevent wild animals from destroying your crops. I believe you need the Landscaping License for that.)

Now lets talk about Raising animals, You will need to make a Bird Coop for you first chicks, get the Handling License and buy the Animal feeder with some Animal food too. Place the Coop into a nice area surrounded with fences(Need the landscaping license for this) place the Feeder in there to and make sure you place food in the feeder every day. (TIP if you place more then one feeder for 1 animal only then it can eat for multiple days and you dont have to fill it up every day.) & the final step for raising your first chicks is, and this is very important, be sure to ALWAYS ''pet'' your chicks, i don't know if this is really important but why not right?! :)

No lets talk about the final item for todays video, making an orchard. This is pretty simple, all you need is the a Shovel with the Excavation License & some fruits that you can find in the wild.

So, to get your Orchard started OR if you just wanna plant some Gum nut trees, all you have to do is dig a hole in the ground, throw the nut/seed/fruit into the hole, and put the dirt back into the hole ontop of the item. this will give you a sampling which will grow into tree and give you all the wood or fruit that you need!
