Dynamic Aesthetic Backgrounds VBE Edition

Vanilla Backgrounds Expanded is required. Previously there was support for RimThemes as well. This has been removed to reduce mod size and gain the capability of selective background loading.

Royalty is required to use the Royalty background.


This mod adds animated backgrounds made via photo manipulation and visual effects using Adobe Photoshop and After Effects.


Requires use of Vanilla Backgrounds Expanded. Enable the "Allow Animations" option for them to show

Shouldn't conflict with anything. Though, in the future this mod may be relatively large in file size. I'm not sure if Rimworld will load all the videos in memory or not. If it does then that is something to keep an eye on and may limit users with less RAM.


Load order does not matter. Load it before VBE or load it after, you decide!

Currently includes Core's and Royalty's Background. I plan on adding Storytellers to Core's background and animating Ideology's background next.

After a long hiatus I have come back to add a Starfield background!

Once I finish the vanilla backgrounds I will then add more based on various mods.
