Heading Hold Display 1x1

Little heading hold display for you!

How to set it up?
  • Composite from the display
  • Video from the display
  • Place a compass sensor on the middle line of your vessel with the arrow pointing the bow and the sensor output goes to the heading input of the controller.
  • Steering passthrough input node is for A/D or whatever you are using for steering
  • steering passthrough output node goes to your rudders or steering mc



Possible problems and solutions:
  • 1. Vessel turning too slow/fast for your liking?
    - Easy fix! Edit the MC by changing the clamped numbers!
  • 2. Vessel overshooting the desired heading?
    - Easy fix again! Edit the MC by changing the proportional gain of the PID.
    You can change the integral and derivative too but better do not if you are not good with PIDs.

@Oninohiro You can probably find something like this for altitude on the workshop, I dont plan on building anything regarding aeronautical stuff in the near future.
