You can also get similar benefits from scrolls including Genesis, Advanced Depot, Skateboarder, and a few others.
However, a huge favorite of mine is using the mag combo Gemini with an SMG (usually Angelic Aura, but anything with a 30+ round mag will do) on Aura of Venom- or better yet, use any of these on Wild Hunt . If you thought the RoF made Aura of Venom unbalanced with a big mag, just wait until you experience mag dumping a double barrel.
On normal mode, if you manage to get a big mag and a Wild Hunt with the mag combo gemini, it literally doesn't matter if you're in solo or coop, because nobody else will have time to do any damage. It completely makes up for not having fusion effects with raw DPS .
I recommend Ao Bai for his ammo regen ascension, because you'll need it.

I do use this technique quite often. Another favorite of mine is using the scroll Skateboarder, which refills your magazine upon dashing, and using the Mortor, which launches explosive shells when you right click. If you dash before the final shell is fired, you refill your magazine and can use the right click again since your dash cool down most likely can finish before firing. This pairs well with Strategic Advantage for a speed boost upon dashing, as well as (I forget the name, Lucky Chance?) which increases your Lucky Shot chance by 50% upon dashing as well. Lots of stacking effects.
