Act 1 begins when you start a new game and are introduced to the girls of Doki Doki Literature Club! Everything seems okie dokie until Monday morning rolls around and you find the hanging body of the seemingly fine Sayori. This will initiate Act 2 and begin to break the game, its important to stop before entering Sayoris room. Jumping between different saves is the best way to fully explore all the stories in Act 1. There are a total of four different saves that you will need to do in Act 1.

Below is a guide for which poem words are best for each girl and will help a lot when getting the Perfect! achievement for each girl.

Favor Sayori

• Write all three poems for Sayori
  
• Choose Sayori, then Monika for any choices
  
• Tell Sayori you love her after either weekend event

Perfect! Sayori- Write a perfect poem for Sayori.

To unlock this achievement get a 20 word combo of Sayoris words. You will unlock sketch #07 for writing all three poems for Sayori and sketch #06 for writing a perfect poem for her.

In doing this run you will also unlock poems #01 and #02 (unlocked on any play through) as well as poem #22 which is obtained by acquiring all other Sayori Poems. You will also unlock CG #01, #04 and #09 for each respective scene with Sayori.

When calling for Sayoris help in the Natsuki/Yuri fight you will unlock sketch #16, you will also unlock sketch #17 for saying you'd walk home with Sayori instead of Natsuki/Yuri. For the weekend event, selecting Sayori then Monika before being forced to select between Natsuki and Yuri will unlock sketch #02.

Favor Natsuki

• Write all three poems for Natsuki
  
• Choose Natsuki for any choices
  
• Choose to spend the weekend with Natsuki

Perfect! Natsuki- Write a perfect poem for Natsuki.

To unlock this acheivement get a 20 word combo of Natsuki words. You will unlock sketch #05 and poem #08 for writing all three poems for Natsuki and sketch #04 for writing a perfect poem for her.

In doing so you will also unlock poems #05, #06 and #07 (unlocked on any play through) with poem #23 unlocked when all Natsuki poems are acquired. You will also unlock CG #03, #05 and #08 for each respective scene with Natsuki.

Favor Yuri

• Write all three poems for Yuri
  
• Choose Yuri for any choices
  
• Choose to spend the weekend with Yuri

Perfect! Yuri- Write a perfect poem for Yuri.

To unlock this acheivement get a 20 word combo of Yuri words. You will unlock sketch #10 and poem #13 for writing all three poems for Yuri and sketch #09 for writing a perfect poem for her.

In doing so you will also unlock poems #10, #11 and #12 (unlocked on any play through) with poem #24 unlocked when all Yuri poems are acquired. You will also unlock CG #02, #06 and #07 for each respective scene with Yuri.

Favor a different girl each day

• Write a poem for a different girl each day
  
• Choices do not matter in this run

This will unlock promo #01, #02, and #03 which requires three unique poems to be written within a single run.

At this point, you should also have a majority of the Background images unlocked (any missing ones will be unlocked by completing the Side Stories). Wallpapers #01 to #07 are unlocked automatically. Poems #15, #16, and #17 are Monikas poems which will unlock on any play through.

Doki Doki Poetry Slam- Spend enough time during the poem minigame for the music to loop.

You will most likely achieve this naturally when writing the perfect poem for any one of the girls.

Any % WR attempts - Write a poem in 20 seconds or less.

Just click and hope it comes out okay! Its easy to do this for the first poem on any run, then which ever girl gets favored write the next two poems for her. This will also unlock Wallpaper #18.

At some point in either Act 1 or Act 2 selecting the word "doki-doki", "kawaii", and "horror" will respectively unlock sketch #01, wallpaper #19, and promo #08.

Start a New Game-Start a New Game.

Make it to Act 2 in the story, this will be automatically unlocked when starting a game in Act 2. I'd recommend trying to load a save from Act 1 as this will unlock sketch #08 while still awarding the Start a New Game achievement.

Act 2 is pretty much just a corrupt version of Act 1. Monika has removed Sayoris character file whilst ramping up the negative traits of both Natsuki and Yuri. The same strategy of save jumping to explore all routes.

• Write all poems for Natsuki
  
  • This will unlock the "play with me" scene needed to unlock sketch #19
• Write all poems for Yuri
  
• Alternate writing for Yuri and Natsuki

Poem #14 and #18 are given just by playing Act 2 and a special poem granted at the end of each day. There are eleven total secret poems with nine of the counting, replaying this section is a must to unlock all secret poems. For the dot poem, to stare at the dot till the words "I love you" appear for it to be counted.

The secret #10 is a rare screen that appears when entering the game while Act 2 is active. Just keep exiting and entering the game until this screen appears. Promo #05 will be unlocked when all secret pictures are unlocked.

There is also a rare chance for a corrupt word to appear in the poem writing game, select this to unlock sketch #20.

After Yuri commits suicide, automatically click through all the text to unlock promo #06. This can take some time so an autoclicker is going to be your best friend. Skipping this section will not unlock the picture.

In the beginning of Act 3, ʍo̻̟̞̳͍̘̝ͦ̈ͪ͠n̟͉̰͉̽ͤ̕ɨk̷͕̙͙̭͉̮͍ͭͅǟ deletes the character files for both Natsuki and Yuri. This allows M̏͌͌̏͏̬͎̜̰̦ͅօռi̊̉̈́͏͖̟̣ӄa̘̝̹ͨ̆̚͢ to be the only remaining character in the game, forcing you into a relationship of her consistent rambling. Act 3 will need to be completed twice.

In the first run...

Play through Act 3, this will unlock CG #10 and poem #19 (this should be the final Monika poem to unlock poem #25).

Perfect! Monika- Write a perfect poem for Monika.

In the poem writing game, select any 20 words. They are all glitched, they are all Monika. Just Monika.

She will never be real- Listen to a lot of what Monika has to say.

Keep interacting with Monika until you unlock this achievement, its a lot of sitting and waiting. I believe it's around fifteen monologues, this should also unlock promo #04.

During this, go into the game settings and enable the "Skip unread dialogue" option. Skip any one of Monikas monologues to unlock sketch #13.

In the second run...

Quit the game.

No seriously, the minute you see that dialogue box quit to the in game "Desktop" and delete her character file. This will unlock sketch #11.

To delete Monika, exit to the in game "Desktop" and delete the the “monika.chr” file in the “Character” folder under “Files”.

Ruin everything- Ruin the game.

Act 4 occurs when the game is relaunched after Monikas' deletion. There are two parts to this sequence: firstly, the process of Monika actually being deleted, she will start angry at the player for her removal before eventually accepting her fate and restarting the game with Yuri, Natsuki and Sayori restored.

Relaunch the game after this and Sayori will now be Literature club president but has gained the same sentience as Monika. Monika will interfere at this point saving Sayori from the same fate as her.

This is gained upon completing the end credits after relaunching the game without the "monika.chr" file present.

Considered the true or good ending to Doki Doki. Interact with every girl in every act before their character gets deleted in Act 3

Side stories are episodic visual novels that occur independent to the main game. These can be found on the in-game "Desktop" under the plus icon called "Side Stories". There are fourteen total side stories with the main six episodes (Trust, Understanding, Respect, Balance, Reflection, and Self-love) unlocked within the main game by writing poems for specific characters- if you've favored every character in Act 1 these should all be unlocked.

The second part of each story is unlocked by completing the initial chapter with the thirteenth story (Equals) unlocked after viewing all twelve previous entries.

Friendship and Literature!- Finish all of the Side Stories.

By completing the side stories you will also unlock:

• Wallpapers #08 to #17
  
• Poems #03, #04 and #09
  
• CG #11 to #18
  
• Promo #07

The fourteenth entry titled "Test VM" is unlocked when completion is at 98% or 99% and is needed for the achievement Breakthrough.

Breakthrough- Achieve 100% data collection.

To unlock "Test VM", go to "Music" in the "Desktop" and listen to the song "Candy Hearts (feat. Jason Hayes) on repeat for 10 minutes. A much shorter (and creepier) version of "Candy Hearts" should now be in your music library, click play on this and the final entry will be unlocked. This counts as the final 2% for the achievement.

The in-game "Desktop" can be accessed at any point in the game by clicking "Exit DDLC" on the in game menu. It can be used to access any unlockables as well as keep track of completionist progress under the "Settings" tab. The desktop itself is host to a majority of Doki Doki Literature Clubs achievements.

No- Choose not to quit DDLC.

In the game menu simple click "Exit DDLC" and select the "No" option when deciding to exit to in game "Desktop".

Error- Your desktop wallpaper could not be changed due to an administrative policy restriction on this computer. For more information, contact your system administrator.

In the in game "Desktop" go to "Pictures", select an image you like and in the bottom right hand corner click "Set Wallpaper".

Good Feature- Draw boxes on the desktop.

Simply click and drag the cursor on the background of the screen to form boxes, do this multiple times until the achievement is unlocked.

Buy a Mixtape - Spend 20 minutes listening to music on the desktop.

Quite literally, as the achievement says spend 20 minutes listening to music on the in game "Desktop".

Stonks- Review Paula's project plan.

In the “Files” section of the “Desktop” click on the folders in order "internal", "2", "2","1". There should be a document titled “Project plan.txt”. To access this document it requires you to change the time on your actual device to 2.40 (am or pm). Once the text document is open the achievement is given.

There are multiple other time locked documents on the "Desktop", I'd definitely recommend looking them up if you are interested in DDLC lore or theories!

Opening "poemwords.txt" in the "File" menu shows you the scoring system for each girls favorite words as well as unlocks sketch #18.

By checking the "Mail" section you will also unlock sketch #12.

2-stocked- Delete Monika twice while getting deleted zero times.

Delete Monika (again) after resetting the game by using the reset.sh file.

I'd recommend finishing and resetting the game and then immediately deleting her before starting a new game. This will unlock sketch #03 and promo #09.
