Introduction and roadmap

This guide is mostly spoiler free. Real spoilers are only in the description of the 20 Jump Street achievement, that can be used as hint for some puzzles or as a rough walkthrough as it contains only some puzzle solutions but not many details.

Estimated trophy difficulty = 2-6/10 depending how often you use hints and if you google a solution to a puzzle.
Approximate amount of time to 100% = The game lasts around 10 hours played normally. For 100% and 2 runs, anywhere between 4 and 16 hours depending on hints or no hints.
Number of missable trophies: there is almost no missable achievement, as everything can be got with chapter replay or by travelling back to the needed area. The really missable one is the no death / no time desync one (Invincible). For 20 Jump Street you need a second run. You can combine 20 Jump Street and Invincible if you want, since dying means respawning and having to jump travel one more time (you can still afford to die a few times in 20 Jump Street so consider that).

I suggest you make some backups now and then (example: with GameSave Manager or just save a copy of the folder C:\Users\_your username_\AppData\Local\Wanderer). The game keeps some older saves in the list of savegames (from the "load" menu) but your latest autosave easily overwrites your progress or your older saves if you travel in time a lot. There is chapter repeat for miscellaneous things. Also, I had the shield item disappear in game and I had to load a very old save (manually) to get it back.

So:

Step 1 - Enjoy the game as it is. If you want, keep some of the achievements in mind so you can get them along the way (there will be less cleanup like this). Try to do your first run without deaths / failing a timeline. If you die, go back to the menu and load a save before your death.
Step 2 - Make sure you leave an area only after you collected all temporal shards, it makes things easier. They are very easy to spot. Just make sure you check corners, drawers, baskets, cupboards. You can check how many shards you need for one area by checking the Time Analysis with your watch. For the spawning objects needed for the watch skins (you have to resonate them), you will be able to always go back to the specific place and collect them. Make sure you resonate them right away. For some of them more samples are present across different maps so you have more than one occasion to pick that particular item up.
Step 3 - Get miscellaneous achievements that your are still missing, if necessary with the help of chapter replay (you cannot repeat some things after progress is saved, even if you travel back to that same time map.
Step 4 - Do the 20 time travels dedicated run for 20 Jump Street.
Story related
You will unlock all these playing the game along the way, so no need to worry about them. They are not necessarily in the chronological order, because during the game you may unlock some before others depending what you choose to do first.

The end of the beginning
Complete construction of the time transporter and use it to jump back in time.

Secondary achievements
For these achievements you will have to work a bit harder, or just keep them in mind while playing. Almost none of them exclude other ones (only the amount of time travels does that, which will void "20 Jump Street" but for that one you really need a dedicated playthrough).

Time and time again
Time jump 100 times.

This glitched for me. It unlocked on first time travel I think. Anyway, very easy to reach 100, you will probably reach 50 during a playthrough, just pull out and in a time travel object from your watch and will rapidly go to 100.

Getting out of hand
Pick up 500 items.

This glitched too. Unlocked on first pickup. Self explanatory.

New threads
Unlock first watch skin.

You unlock watch skins by finding and resonating objects found in the several time eras. You can resonate the objects at the resonator in the apartment map. You can check there the list of which items are needed for a certain watch skin. All these objects are easy to find, most of them are in plain sight and some of them are in bigger quantities (you can find even 3 or 4 samples for the same object across the different maps).

The Rodfather
Fish up old boot.

Get the fishing pole, add the fishing hook found in the entrance of the apartment (break the glass), DO NOT use any bait, go to the end of the corridor out of the apartment, there will be a gap with water below (the blue frog usually jumps in there). Lower your hook (without bait) and pull up the boot.

Temporal Shard
Capture first temporal shard.

There is a limited quantity of shards in the game. You can find shards already in the apartment map (some of them are inside drawers).

Extinguished
Put out 3 flames in Germany after the bomb.

Get the water gun (in the bedroom in the apartment), go to Germany (bullet time travel object), pump the gun and shoot some flames

The fast side of the moon
Drive the RC car on the moon.

Self explanatory. With lower gravity you can make some great jumps...pretty fun.

Anger Management
Smash 20 breakable items.

This glitched for me as well, it unlocked the first time I broke a cup during the introduction. If it gets fixed, just break some bottles and mugs in the various maps.

Resonated
Successfully resonate an item.

Self explanatory.

Safire Memo
Repair and use radio on moon to listen to the president's speech.

There are several parts of the radio on the moon. Two parts, one antenna. Once the radio is complete, you can attach it to the dish pointing towards earth. Turn the knob and listen to the speech.

Cool down
Blow leaf blower into face.

It is hard to point it at your face. Help yourself by pushing it right in your face with your other free hand.

Pendejo
Annoy the security guard enough for him to call you a pendejo.

Interact with him several times. I unlocked this in the Bethel map (BEFORE the concert).

Lethal Weapon
Shoot an enemy with the nerd gun.

You can find the nerd (nerf?) gun in the apartment. Bring it to the mayan level and shoot a Spanish enemy to unlock it.

Blinded by the light
Shoot a crocodile with the flare gun.

This is during the introduction.

Insta worthy
Take a shower in the waterfall for 30 seconds.

This glitched for me. It unlocked as soon as I went in the waterfall, and I even had the umbrella on me.

Academic
Write something on a chalkboard.

This can be unlocked in the introduction as well as in Germany and in the Tesla map.

Dummkopf!
Hit the German soldiers enough to entice a response.

You can obtain it in Germany after you trigger the alarm.

Ignorance is bliss
On first discovering the watch ignore him or throw him away.

Self explanatory.

Arm day
Distance pulled in elevators.

Pull the rope to lift / lower elevators. I think it's glitched, it unlocked practically on my first elevator.

Bullseye
Hit the bullseye when playing darts with Ian.

This can be very time consuming. I tried about half an hour to get the middle but it's just too random with VR controllers. I did hit the 25 points circle but never the 50 points one. If you want to get it legit: trigger the game (Bethel map, afternoon) of darts. When you have the darts available, shoot them but make sure that you don't use all of them and you don't reach 50. Drop out of the map and come back in again: you will spawn in the same spot and all darts will be available. This saves a lot of time because otherwise you have to load the chapter or load a previous save and wait until Ian finished talking. If you score 40 points, go out of the map and come back, as your next shot would likely win the game and the progress gets saved.

If you don't want to get it legit: walk to a corner of your physical VR play area (in real life). Move as close as possible to the darts target in game with the analog stick (Ian will tell you if you crossed the line, and the dart will not work). After that, walk (in real life in your VR play area) as close as possible to the darts target. This will not be detected in game as change of position, because your in-game character position is still behind the line (but your in-game "head" is much closer to the target). Shoot the dart in the bullseye. I have less than 2 meter space in my room and I could get almost right to the target.

Pack Mule
Unlock all inventory slots.

You need temporal shards for this. You will get enough shards for all slots after a few maps (much earlier than the end of the game).

Splash Bros
Make 30 basketball shots into the hoop.

You can find a basket in the prologue as well as in the apartment. The basket has a counter. Paper balls should count as well. This achievement glitched for me, as it unlocked on first successful shot during the prologue.

St Patrick's Day
Light all possible flames in all Mayan levels green.

I unlocked this even before going to the "other" mayan levels. The Mayan level that gives you a green flame has a few flames around the map. The smaller flames will not stay green upon re-entering. Not sure if they are needed for the achievement but they can turn green. One torch is too far up for me in the puzzle room and I did not turn it green.

Final countdown
Tap your sticks together before the bands starts playing.

After you lick the frog on the stage, the sticks appear on the drums. There is a short time before the band starts so you have to hurry up a bit.

Deja Vu
Use the mineral detector to find the other pocket watch near the top of the waterfall in the City of Tikal.

For this you have to use the upper mayan mask part, after you completed the Mayan levels. Use the detector, it will be in a dark area next to the river that falls down the cliff.

Geology Rocks!
Find all 4 minerals on the moon.

They are all in the crater. To avoid confusing the tool, put the minerals you find in your pocket.
Part 2
Bam-Bam
Get a high score of 31,000 on the drums.

This can be tricky, especially if you have a bad sense of rhythm. You don't need to be a drummer obviously. If you have some experience with Beat Saber or Guitar Hero for sure helps. The fact that the flowers look so bad and big and that they feel slightly out of sync with the music, doesn't help. Mind that being the drums not in line, the beats that are together do not correspond to flower next to each other, but slightly offset (in guitar hero the colors would right next to each other, in a line). So sometimes is hard to know if the 2 hits must be together or slightly off-set. You get used to it after a few times. To reach 31.000 points, choose the right stick ("PRO" mode). The left stick is EASY mode and it will never give you as many points. Here a video of my run. I missed lots of times (the sticks kind of glitch through the drums...so take it easy with the movements) and was still able to reach the score. If something goes wrong, you hear a "BEEP". The score does not get lower because of the mistakes. I don't know if the sound is for a wrong beat (wrong hit on the beat or wrong drum on correct beat or both) or for a missed beat (didn't hit the drum for a certain flower). If you hear too many BEEPs in the beginning, is probably better to reload the save and try again.

Walk in Wardrobe
Unlock all watch skins.

You need all resonating items for this (the pocket watch at the waterfall will very probably be your last item to find), and after that you need 30x shards as well to unlock the last skin.

Moneybags
Collect all currency.

It means all the temporal shards. Just make sure you fill up the counter in every map. By the time you are on the final part of the moon, you should have all of them. There are more shard than required for the watch skins (I don't know why).

Let's get physical
Beat the drone shooter without using a ranged weapon.

This is referred to the chapter before last, when you are in the futuristic apartment . You cannot kill the first drones that you meet in other levels, it will not count. You have to be in the place already masked by the spoiler, where the apartment goes on lockdown and drones keep spawning and coming in from windows and air ducts. They will keep spawning until the voice counting the % reaches 0. You cannot use bow or guns, you can use your hands and any melee object. I found the golf club to be very comfortable. Hide behind the door in the bathroom and keep swinging it up and down, the drones will hit it while coming in. If you miss a drone, quickly go to it and hit it.

Invincible
Complete the game without dying/failing in a time era.

If you die, you fail a time era and you spawn back at the apartment. If you desync a time era in any way (destroy crucial things or kill a character), you will respawn at the apartment and void the achievement. You can always check if you are "clean" by checking your watch in the Analysis field: it must always say "0" next to the number of time jumps. If it is not 0, reload a previos save and make sure you continue without failing. The trophy unlocks when you see the credits I believe.
2nd playthrough (20 Jump Street)
20 Jump Street
Complete the entire game by only time jumping a total of 20 times.

Apparently it doesn't need to be 20, but NOT MORE than 20. I don't know if it is possible to jump less than 17 times (as in this guide) and I also don't know if the final jump (done with the singularity) counts as a jump (I don't think so, but if yes, this guide includes 18 jumps).

This description is intended for your second playthrough, it does not contain complete solutions but only key points to make the run easier in case you forget what to do (it's assumed that by this point you already played the game once and remember more or less everything). You can start right from the chapter in the apartment after restoring electricity. ALWAYS try to get all the temporal shards in the first levels, you will need them to unlock the inventory slots quick. Don't worry about resonating items, ignore them. Always travel as empty as possible every time (bring only what is specified). Remember that if your inventory is full, you can still hold an extra object in the left hand while jump travelling. So from that chapter:

Do the flashlight codes in the bedroom. Unlock the table with the lamp in the living room, take the battery, charge it. Go fish the frog out of the water. Use the drill to open the wall safe. Take the moon level artifact.

  • 1st jump to the moon: bring the angle grinder (including battery)

Cut the panel and take the wire cutters. Bring back the angle grinder and the cutters. IN THE APARTMENT: empty the inventory. Take the mayan masks in the bathroom. Unlock the 2nd inventory slot. Take the thread from the living room.

  • 2nd jump to the upper mayan level: bring the thread.

Build the bow. Take the 2 parts of the snake key and join them. Ditch the thread. Shoot the green stone heads and pull down the 2 levers. Go back with 2/3 of the key and the bow.

  • 3rd jump to lower mayan level: bring 2/3 of the snake key.

Solve the puzzle, build the rest of the key and take the Tesla coin. Go back. IN THE APARTMENT: unlock the 3rd slot.

  • 4th jump to Tesla: bring the fishing pole (with hook).

Take the valve wheel. Fish up the key and ditch the pole. Solve the cog puzzle. Go back with rainbow whirligig, valve wheel, umbrella and fuse (1 object has to be in hand).

  • 5th jump to Bethel whirligig: bring the toygun (inside the fridge).

Do what needs to be done and jump back with the toy gun, the jade frog and the German bullet. IN THE APARTMENT: unlock the 4th inventory slot and empty the inventory. You should not need another inventory slot so you could stop looking for shards.

  • 6th jump to Germany (bullet).

Take the electronic cypher. Go back with it.

  • 7th jump to jade frog: bring the bow, the frog, the umbrella, the electronic cypher and the wire cutters.

Do what you came for, speak with priest, no need to clean the puzzle, solution is 5 4 1 (in the circles left to right), defuse the bomb and store it in the inventory. Ditch the bow. The frog puzzle could be (check the arrows not the handles) -3 5 -7 8. Go back to the priest etc, take the chess piece in hand and come back with full inventory: bomb, frog, cutters, cypher and chess piece in hand. IN THE APARTMENT: put the bomb on the car, empty the inventory.

  • 8th jump to Germany (chess piece): bring the the drill (battery included), the bombcar and the remote.

Go to the room where you can unload the green barrels to block the door. Solve the enigma, the code is AICQ = 4842. Take the gun from the crate. Take a middle sized cog from the broken door. Drive the car to the spot where the tank will be. Bring back home a full loaded gun, a middle sized cog from the door, the car remote, the drill and the pipe wrench (in hand). IN THE APARTMENT: empty the inventory.

  • 9th jump to Germany (bullet): bring the water gun, the fuse (from Tesla level), the remote, the electronic cypher and an empty temporal vial.

You find a gun in the level. Keep fighting and go on. You will have to improvise by carrying some items in the hand (gun or cypher or plans etc but don't lose sight of them as they can disappear and respawn if dropped on the floor). To burn the documents, throw them in the fire. Go on, arm the rocket. After you filled the vial, refill the gun with a new magazine, take an extra magazine in the hand and come back home.

  • 10th jump to upper mayan level: bring the loaded gun.

Let the guy drop the snake key, shoot the vase to destroy the right cannon (wait for the cannon to reach the spot or you will have to reload). You will only use one bullet here. Go back home.

  • 11th jump to the lower mayan level: bring the bombcar (it will have respawned in the closet), the remote and a loaded gun (you find the bow there, unlimited ammo but harder to survive).

Drive the bombcar to where the cannon will stop while your friend talks. The Spanish will not spawn unless you start the dialogue with your friend so you can take your time. Kill the Spanish after the dialogue and destroy the left cannon with the car (if you placed it correctly, you only need to press the button on the remote). Jump back home with the car remote, the weapon if you brought one and the bow (important). Leave the remote in the apartment.

  • 12th jump to upper mayan level: bring an empty vial, the snake key if you took it already, the bow and a gun if you managed to still have bullets

Solve the puzzle, put the key. Take the book. Fight your way, put the book and fill the vial. Come back with the bow, any gun and the filled temporal vial.

  • 13th jump to pipe wrench level: bring the valve wheel, the leaf blower (absolutely charge the battery again) and the drill.

Do the puzzles (water pressure: interact only with 30, 60 and 700 values to reach 1000 - solution for the fuses in screenshot below) and come back with the leaf blower, the drill and the plunger. Drop everything at home.

  • 14th jump to Tesla level: bring the angle grinder (don't forget the battery), the leaf blower, an empty temporal vial.

Do the puzzles (gas solution = purple red blue green pink).

  • 15th jump to Plunger.

Do what needs to be done and lower the toilet with Jimmi.

  • 16th jump to Whirligig: bring a gun, the cog, the frog and an empty vial.

Play the concert, take the flag using the cog. Come back with the filled vial and the flag. IN THE APARTMENT: cut the mop and mount the flag on it.

  • 17th jump to the moon: bring the mop with the flag on it.

Find the mineral on the moon. Go back home, fight in your apartment, charge the vials if you didn't already, go on to finish the game. The achievement will pop when the credits start rolling up.

P. S. Thanks to Vrede for pointing out a copy&paste mistake that was breaking the jump count in this guide.

Oh, yup, I see. I was confused and wasn't looking in the ending area. Found it no problem now. Thanks for the help!

also i found this but somehow it doesn't remind me of anything. Maybe it's useful to you

It already has been one year I really am not sure. I thought it was on the grass or next to that dead body? The waterfall is not there at the wooden bridge (when your torch goes out because of the water), there will be another "level" in that stage much lower, that is where the pocket watch was. Are we speaking about the same place? The place I mean is when the timeline ruptures (you power the crystal) and you go back to the hub. I remember the pocket watch to be there actually.
$Risotto$ 31 Jul, 2023 @ 1:45am
I've already been looking for it whilst there the second time around, I'm afraid. Before the invasion, the machine doesn't beep at all. I'm sure I'm there at the right time, but I just can't find the exact location. Does anyone remember, whether it was in the ceiling, wall, or the floor? It only beeps when I point it to the side or up, but that, again, that makes it hard to follow the arrows. :/
rogermorse  [author] 30 Jul, 2023 @ 11:05pm
Hmmm I remember you go to the waterfalls more than once? Maybe you will find it the second time you get there (I am not sure about this as I don't remember such details of the game)?
$Risotto$ 30 Jul, 2023 @ 6:00am
I can't find the pocket watch with the detector at the waterfall for the life of me. The arrows keep sending me around and I can't find a consistent way to follow them. Can anyone describe in more detail where it is you're supposed to find it?
rogermorse  [author] 6 Jul, 2023 @ 12:01am
I am not sure anymore as I don't remember this detail. I guess your best bet is to reload a previous save.

I'm missing ONE shard in Germany after I launched the rocket. There's an icon that indicates I should be able to head back but it won't let me. I thought I found them all before entering the final area....Am I just locked out?

Question : I’m at the end of the game , but in order to get the achievement to get the watch fully upgraded I need the skull. This is only available in the first Maya world! After I complete the game , with chapter select will it still be possible to fully upgrade the watch ? Because I found everything else + all shards . Please help ? (I’m afraid of completing the game and to lock me out, because I have no idea how endgame works)

If you already used the car with the bomb (and you should have), the car should respawn together with the bomb in the apartment.
