Antisocial's Guide to Friends
By Mr.Franchise
Having trouble making friends or meeting people in Tower Unite? This guide is a basic send off for you to go from talking baby smack to having adult conversations. Warming up to the social aspect of this game can be quite difficult for those who feel uncomfortable, awkward, or nervous at the start. However, this guide should help you get a hang of socialising more.

Getting Started
First things first, find an avatar that fits your preference. This may take some time due to the amount of created avatars you can find on the workshop. However, this is the first step in getting to talking to people. Once you've finally found an avatar which you like through the workshop, i suggest looking at your audio and controls for specific voice chat and communication settings until you fix them for what you'll want.
Warming Up
Before you go ahead and find people to talk to, It is best for you to explore the game a bit at first. This gives you a retrospect on what it's all about and on all the different locations to meet new people. You can spent your first handful of hours here messing around solo until you really start talking to other interesting figures. Once you have explored the game well-enough, you will find the different locations to meet people at. These consist of:
  • Tower Rooftop
  • Main Plaza Square
  • Bowling Ring
  • Laser tag
  • Casino
  • Nightclub
  • Arcade
  • Theatre
  • Boardwalk

Out of all of these, I prefer going to the Rooftop, Plaza Square, Arcade, Boardwalk, or Nightclub to socialise. All other locations can also be great for making friends, but those specific spots are my own personal recommendation.

REMINDER: In order to socialise, you do not have to verbally communicate with these people. You may do that in all of these places, but they are also great to just standby and experience moments by just being there. Everyone is friendly here, just have fun!
Plaza
The Plaza Square is the main hub for the game, so you'll always find people hanging around here. It's a great spot to have moderate long conversations and for messing around. I suggest finding a small group of people and joining them as that is the easiest way to socialise at the plaza. Hitting up small groups of people isn't harmful, as almost everyone here who is social are extremely nice and fun people, whom of which would all be accepting to talk to you. If you cannot find a group to hang out with, there are still other options.
Boardwalk
The Boardwalk is the main center where people will go towards to fish. Along with the decks, there are other activities like Typing Derby located there. Both of these give you the chance to become a social butterfly. The docks are a great opportunity to start small talk about the game's fishing if they are currently doing that. However, Typing Derby might offer some more fun experiences (if it is populated). You can easily join someone in a fast game on the derby as a starter, and if you wish you may try to continue hanging/talking with them afterwards. Throughout all of these experiences, you may not even have to communicate through text or voice. The ability to be around other people can be just enough for some, and this place provides that great opportunity to you almost all the time.
Casino
The Casino is a perfect place to meet other gambling addicts just like you! Instead of wasting your life savings away in slot machines and blackjack by yourself, you can now do it with other crippling addicts! The Casino really brings a sense of community that other games like Death Stranding simply just don't get. There's nothing like making friends than spending hours loosing money.
Arcade & Mini-Games
Even though the Arcade is quite fun, it doesn't bring much in the sense of community and making friends. You may find some interesting people there, but the mini-games are a much better option. Tower Unite brings a variety of mini-games inside of it which you can play. Some examples are golf, laser tag, and virus. These mini-games by themselves are quite fun, but when paired up with the people you'll meet in them, they really start to make you feel like you have friends. This is a core step in becoming a deranged man. After a while you will get used to either players being nice and having fun in these mini-games, or them becoming angry at you in Virus. Either way, nothing better than pretending like you actually have valuable friends to play these with, which is exactly what these mini-games make you feel.
End of Guide
With the help of this guide, you've either become a social butterfly, the popular and social person you always wanted to be. If not, then you became an insane person believing that they actually have friends. Both of these outcomes will make you fit right in, so there should be no worry! (Now stay away from the furries you may encounter in the US Servers.)

condos are also a great place to chat - many people hang around there to wind down, and i promise complimenting a host on their condo will never go wrong.

(sincerely, a serial condo complimenter.:stimulation:)
