I run a discord bot called TF2GambleBot to simulate the gambling events within TF2 on discord for free. Recently I've started incorporating the backpack.tf pricelist into some features, the most recent of which is an aggregation of unusual effect prices per generation, based on the hats you can currently unbox.

Simply put, if you unbox a normal crate today (May 17, 2022 when the pricelist was retrieved) and get an unusual, about what value will that unusual be? This differs from the effect pricelist backpack currently has which takes into account miscs (no longer unboxable) and case hats (elites can often be worth multiple times more simply because of rarity).

Some flaws to note:
Only uses official prices, if the price is 4 years outdated it doesn't take that into account.
Similarly, unpriced items won't count to the average.
There doesn't appear to be a good resource for official hats you can unbox. It is possible I missed some hats or maybe included a few that are no longer unboxable, however I have the vast majority of them. File I'm using is here.[github.com]
These only apply to regular crates. Unlocked cosmetic crates draw from a slightly different pool of hats.
