Chatterton Hill/White Plains (1776)

Washington has lost the battle of Long Island. General Howe is pursuing him, and the Continental Army has set up defensive positions near White Plains New York in the hope of forcing a second Bunker Hill.

However, Washington has failed to secure the high ground on his western flank on Chatterton Hill. The British recognize this and move to capture the hill and outflank the main rebel position.

This is a Black Powder scenario from the AWI expansion. I've chosen to represent large units as seven bases, regular 5, small 3, but you should feel free to reduce or increase unit size as you see fit. Personally my gaming buddy and I play with this scale on TTS and exchange inches for centimeters.

Uniform notes:
Wherever possible I've tried to conform to period descriptions of uniforms and facings.
Some of the Hessian units in this battle are actually amalgamation units where a proper representation should represent a variety of uniforms, eg. Minnegerode. I'm lazy so I gave these units a single (representative) color scheme and flag(s) from one of the constituent units.

Also please note that I plan on introducing/patching in more varied officer poses and uniforms.

PS: For those just learning about the period, get to know Haslet's Deleware and Smallwood's Maryland for the Americans, they are consistently ranked among the best of the Colonial troops.

PPS: The British 5th foot wore Bearskin's for *reasons* but were not all grenadiers. They shouldn't have shoulder markings, I know, I'll work on that.
