WW1 General Deaths
By piss man bubs
So after reading TheFlyingScotsman01's very well-done guide series on his campaign's general deaths, I decided to make my own using the Great War mod (ww1).
Notes:
-I use tactical unit sizes, meaning that instead of units of 150 or so soldiers, i get about 21/24 soldiers a unit. I find this easier to micro-manage.
- In this campaign, i am playing as France, with true alliances (meaning that the Allied and Central Powers stay together instead of Germany declaring war on Austria, etc.)
-I absolutely suck at this game.

Deaths
Henri-Phillippe Joseph, February, 1916.
Henri was born in 1856 in Amiens, a small town near Riems. He was quick to adapt to the new tactics and warfare of the 20th century, and he won many battles for France on the front lines, destroying wave after wave of German troops. In Febuary, 1916, the Germans attacked Riems, and Henri-Phillipe was sent to relieve the siege. He was sent in as a reinforcing wave, and led a small force of 100 or so infantry to destroy the enemy artillery pieces which were bombarding the French trenches. However, when he gathered his troops to charge, a force of 200 elite German infantry ambushed him. He was killed when a German bayonet pierced his leg, and dragged him off his horse, where he bled to death.

Joseph Joffre, April, 1916
Born in 1873, in Roune, Normandy. Joseph was hastily recruited by the French as a general when their top general, Jacques Cesaire, was sent to attack Strasbourg, and liberate it from the Germans. Joseph had almost no expirience as a general, and was used to commanding a platoon of infantry. While he had only 300 or so infantry, and a mortar, the Germans had 5 pieces of artillery which they used to utterly destroy the French trenches. The Germans then charged the remaining French, where Joseph took a bullet through the head, killing him instantly. The Germans took Riems, but they were later defeated by Jaques Cesaire.

Max von Hausen, April, 1916
Born in 1884, in Strasbourg, Alcase-Lorraine. Max was one of the many German generals tasked with attacking Riem. He was in command of the army that killed Joffre. After the battle with Joffre, he and the remaining Germans were attacked by Jacques Cesaire, who withdrew from his place in Germany to relieve the remaining defenders at Riems. During the battle, Hause's army came under heavy bombardment from the French mortars. While giving orders to his artillery, a mortar bomb landed at his feet, blowing up him and his guard.

More notes
I hope you enjoyed reading this, and I hope to make more (even though that involves my generals dying.). Maybe i'll do Admiral deaths, but probably not, because the naval battles in the mod are extremely hard. Thanks to TheFlyingScotsman01 for the idea.
