Sort Those Buildings & Compatible Mods

Descrição
Compatible with: 3.12.5

Automatically sorts all vanilla buildings on your worlds after they are constructed. Also sorts all buildings constructed in branch offices and overlord holdings when they are constructed.

Compatibility
Any buildings added by other mods are not supported, check my collection to see if I released a patch for those mods or you can feel free to make one yourself, I've provided some resources to help you. If you decide to make your own patch I'm more than willing to support it for you, either way I ask that you please add me on steam to communicate with me so I can update my master list and add your patch to the collection on this page.

The Stellaris Building Priority spreadsheet[docs.google.com] has the ordering of all supported buildings. If a mod is compatible with Sort Those Buildings it will be on this list.

It's read only but can give you an idea of generally where things shake out in the sort order. To set your own sorting follow the flowchart[drive.google.com] I've created, if you need help feel free to reach out.

Load Order
Place this mod at the top of your load order before any mods that add new buildings (even if that mod claims it should be first).

Place any patches immediately below the mod that they are patching.

Example
==Top of Load Order==
Sort Those Buildings
Gigastructural Engineering
Sort Those Buildings - Gigastructural Engineering Patch
- Other Mods -
More Events Mod
Sort Those Buildings - More Events Mod
- Rest of the Load Order-

Important!
This will only start working on buildings built after the mod is installed. Additionally, any mod that overwrites a vanilla building and gets loaded after this one will break sorting. If it's not too much work I can be persuaded to make a patch for you :)

I don't know a ton about modding PDX games. It uses its own defines for the vanilla buildings.

I can look into it. It seems pretty straightforward. One question, looking through the priorities set in the mod, there are no priorities set for upgraded buildings. Is that handled automatically by the engine?

Also the mod I asked about doesn't use any vanilla files. Would it still need a compatibility mod?

@fristdillicus - I'll add it to my backlog but I've never had as much time as I wanted to create and maintain additional patches. If you have the inclination to make and support it let me know! There's a "guide" in the description and I'm happy to work with you.

@Order Prerogative - Yes those two mods need a patch between them and will not work together, better to have PR override STB than the other way around.

Also, upgraded buildings inherit their sort order position from the buildings they were updated from. I'm not sure if this is a bug or an undocumented feature but since I want them sorted in the same place as their preceding buildings anyway I've never bothered to dig into it.
