Introduction / Motivation
I have been lurking around most matchmaking/discord lobbies since Rundown 1 and have been playing with plenty of beginners and veterans (from Rundown 1 to the latest Rundowns) - some were fantastic and taught me new things that even I didn't know, and some not so much, where misinformation/myths was being spread like crazy to beginners / less experienced players (i.e. Holding out the hacking tool (without boosters) will speed up the bioscan speed / Kiting is mandatory to beat an E-tier level / it is mandatory to bring cfoam and permafoam if not we will wipe (therefore give me all the tool) / Biotracker doesn't do anything / Machinepistol is useless because it doesn't do much damage)

With the influx of Rundown 1.0, and newer players joining in every single Rundown iteration, I thought that it would be great to compile most of the know-hows of the game from my long hours of playing the game that are mostly spoiler-free and thoughts from the wonderful people that I have met around Discord.

The guide series will heavily benefit players that purely play in their own static groups (i.e. bought the game as 4, and are still playing as 4) as a more detailed understanding to the mechanics of the game will be documented and explained. I will be constantly updating this steam guide with every new video that I post on YouTube, and in sequential order in the ways I feel that players should view them so that they can get the most out of every single video in their journey in learning this beautiful game.
Weapon & Tool Selection
In GTFO, once players select an expedition, the loadout menu is the first thing that they see.

Choosing the best weapon that does the job in an expedition that players are running blind will hugely benefit a group; this video will provide an overview of what all the weapon types in GTFO does, and how you can take advantage of their qwerks and perks.

General Progression
Since Rundown 6, GTFO has included a progression bar right below the objective tab on the top left of the HUD. However, there has yet to be an info-dump library/CODEX in the game that actually teaches players on what things do and what they are for (like in Deep Rock Galactic).

This video series emphasises more on general progression in the game - with key topics such as what expeditions are, what are optional objectives and how do players access them, and items required to progress in the expedition.

Combat System
This section will expand on both stealth & loud portions of GTFO

Tackling an Objective Type
GTFO has a wide array of objectives (6 main classifications with ~18 unique objective types). Oftentimes in a run with beginners, they usually ask the question of "what do we do, and how do we do it."

This video guide series will serve to explain the different types of objectives available in the game and how players can complete them, especially for the more complicated ones.
