Important update:

I removed some small rivers at the southern edge of the map and widened the river there.
There were problems with the ships there. I fixed that with today's update.
Please let me know if you find any more rivers where ships get stuck.

  • Much, Much more space to build
  • Mountain lakes for "fresh water" ;)
  • Easy start locations on the soviet sites
  • Mountain passes to get easier to other valleys
  • New areas and beautiful locations for tourists and cities
  • Overhaul of the borders and power connections
  • New Resource locations and overhaul from some old ones

Im only a few hours into using this map but Im LOVING it! The limited resources makes the game more challenging! I wish there were more maps like this one. Most other maps have resources EVERYWHERE which can make it a little too easy. This feels more realistic!

I love limited resource maps. I love mountainous maps with very flat areas for building. I love maps with big rivers/oceans for ships and hydro. This map hits quite a few of my favorites.

Also I *really* love maps with what I consider good early game goals. First order of business, build a base for my pioneer engineer division on the island in the SW near the border crossing and build a dam across that narrow area. I can also start tapping into the coal seam nearby for a quick buck exporting before using it to build up my electrical infrastructure!

Gorgeous looking map and it fits my desire to play with limited resources. A word in regard to those beautiful mountain lakes - they don't seem to work when you try to take water out of them with a surface outflow (likely due restrictions of the game engine, which equals water presence to zero hight). Still a great addition visually - and an invitation to the challenge to built up a tourist spot in the mountains.
