KK Investigation Notes are short stories about KK's past cases in Ghostwire: Tokyo that reward 20 Skill Points for each one found. Skill Points are needed to upgrade Akito's Abilities.

Caution: There seems to be a missable note in Chapter 5, so make sure to pick it up. This can potentially apply to other notes found during missions as well.

KK Investigation Note (Chapter 5) - The Hyakki Yako:

This KK Investigation Note can only be found while playing in the section off the map during Chapter 5. After defeating the first boss, look inside the nearby hut to pick up the note beside a safe.

KK Investigation Note (1/1) - The Sewer Kid:

The first KK Investigation Note in Ghostwire: Tokyo is first obtainable during the mission "KK" in Chapter 2. It is located in KK's Safehouse, under the calendar just outside of the kitchen.

KK Investigation Note (1/1) - The Kirigaoka Vanishing:

In the middle of the Hirokawa Shrine area, go into a side building containing a quiver of arrows at the entrance, opposite the Nostalgic Nekomata stall. Head to the back room and pick up the note near the table.

KK Investigation Note (1/1) - The Giant Teru Teru Bozu:

Found on a bench on top of a rooftop you will come to as part of "The Black Tower" main mission in Chapter 4. This building is right on the southern edge of the Kappagaike Torii Gate area, near the fog.

KK Investigation Note (1/2) - The Cult of the Flying Cloth:

Purchasable from the Musical Nekomata for 100,000 Meika. (For the second investigation note in this area see the DLC section further below.)

KK Investigation Note (1/2) - The Mystery of the Invisible Cat:

Purchasable for 100,000 Meika at the Luster-Loving Nekomata stall.


KK Investigation Note (2/2) - The Dancing Headless Students:

This KK Investigation Note is on the same level as the actual Shrine. It's sitting on a low red table, opposite a payphone, near the edge of the building.

KK Investigation Note (1/1) - The Overpriced Tickets:

The note is very close to the Noto Shrine. Look to the right of the Shrine's steps to find the note on a small wall, beside some blue crates.

KK Investigation Note (1/2) - The Kappa and the Cucumber:

Purchasable from the Occult Nekomata stall for 100,000 Meika.


KK Investigation Note (2/2) - The Tengu Turf War:

Inside the building directly below the Onten Shrine. Go in and look at the right-hand side to find the note on a low wooden shelf.

KK Investigation Note (1/1) - The Ether Thief:

Although the note is found in the Sakano area, it’s actually quicker to fast travel to the Shimokusa Shrine to find this note. It’s near an elevator directly across from the Shrine.

KK Investigation Note (1/1) - The Turbo Student:

You will come to the Shibuya Underground as part of "The Buried Life" main mission in Chapter 2, but you can return any time after this. While descending the station, you will come across a group of Visitors near an arcade. After dealing with them, head into the arcade and look at the file sitting on top of a red stool, near a game cabinet.

KK Investigation Note (1/1) - The Strange Case of the City Tengu:

Purchasable from the Handicraft Nekomata stall for 100,000 Meika.

KK Investigation Note (1/1) - The Line at the Ramen Shop:

This KK investigation note is on a mini shrine structure, just outside the left-hand side of the actual Tasui Shrine building.

KK Investigation Note (1/3) - The Sports Avenue Barker:

Purchasable from the Japanophile Nekomata stall for 100,000 Meika.


KK Investigation Note (2/3) - The Marunouchi Vanishing:

This KK Investigation Note is located in the Sengoku Center Building. You can’t enter the building until the "Pillar of Light" main mission in Chapter 3 takes you here. When you reach the office that needs cleansing while following the cables to the second electrical switch box, enter the side door on the left, near the beginning of the room. The note is on the desk below the TV in this room.



KK Investigation Note (3/3) - The Jukai Soba Excavation:

This note is on a table under a green parasol, right beside the Torii Gate, on its southern side.

KK Investigation Note (1/2) - The Nekomata and the Convenience Store:

Purchasable from the Playful Nekomata stall for 100,000 Meika.


KK Investigation Note (2/2) - The Awakened AI:

At the bottom floor of an apartment complex that has police tape around it. You will come here as part of the "Blindness" main mission in Chapter 3. The note is in the mail lockers at the back.

KK Investigation Note (1/1) - The King of the Loan Sharks:

Found at the construction site at the actual Yashin Shrine. It is on some black slabs, near a standing light and a small red generator, on the top level.

KK Investigation Note (1/5) - The Cycle of Hate:

In front of the Nekomata in the school is a clump you can destroy for extra attack sigils. Destroy it to reveal a hole in the wall.


Go through to find a room. Go through the door for a second room to find your KK File.

KK Investigation Note (2/5) - The Mysterious Exercise Regimen:

You can find this on the roof of the building north of the school's entrance.

KK Investigation Note (3/5) - The Sleepless Man:

Inside room 10 (Staff Room) in the school. Check inside the drawer.

KK Investigation Note (4/5) - The Pool at Night:

Inside room 29 (Computer Room) in the school.

KK Investigation Note (5/5) - The Noise in the Night:

Check the little room on the second floor of the Gym inside the school.

KK Investigation Note (1/1) - The Monster and the Fool:

This one is actually in Shibuya. Fast travel to the Morite Shrine, go north to the crossing and head east from it to the next big crossing, the Shibuya Scramble Crossing. Here you want to go north following the street, but keep an eye on your left for a place that looks like the image below. It's almost at the corner where the crossing is so it's hard to miss.



Here you'll see a door that you can open.


Head inside and go down the elevator. This is an area with screenshots taken by other players. You can also find your KK file on the chair here.

KK Investigation Note (1/1) - The Red Cloth:

South from Akitsu Shrine, look among the buildings (see images below) to find an apartment on ground level that has corruption coming out of it.



Destroy the core outside and head inside the apartment to find the note.

KK Investigation Note (2/2) - The Neon Woman:

Head to the apartment complex northeast of the shrine and you can see corruption coming out of an apartment.



Go up to the third floor and destroy the core to get rid of the corruption. Head inside and you can find the note on the bed inside the first room on the left.
