How to cheat the Race in Fair Play mission

Are you stuck and can't continue this mission, don't want to lower the difficulty, multiple attempts and can't get to the 1st place? Look no further. You're not a Forza player, you just want to enjoy your game killing dudes.

Welcome to The No Judgement Zone.

This is a trick you can find with a little searching, but to make it easier I'll leave it here. Let's go.

1. Download Cheat Engine from here [www.cheatengine.org].
2. Install and open it.
3. Open the game and load your save file. When you are in the race section of the Fair Play mission Alt-Tab and go back to Cheat Engine.
4. Click on the glowing screen icon. Select Mafia: Definitive Edition

5. Click on Enable Speedhack. If Cheat Engine freezes go back to the game, then Alt-tab again, back to Cheat Engine.
6. Move the slider to the right, set the speed to 500. Click Apply.

7. Go back to your game. The speed will be insane and the Ai cars will crash. Eventually you will be the only car in the race, you can drive slow and finish the race. Just be careful and try not to destroy your car.
8. After finishing the race go back to Cheat Engine and uncheck Enable Speedhack, or just close Cheat Engine. Do not save changes.
9. Done. Remember to go with Paulie to Blue Tropics to get the secret achievement Not Classy.

It was stupid to have in the original, and even more stupid that they left it in. Normally I never cheat, but this one is justifiable.

the speedhack was not really working out. The nexus mods file though below was just perfect. Replace just one file, win the race and revert back to original.

You saved my sanity. Cheers.
I've been trying this thing for whole night. Spend 4-5 hours and the best I could do is second place. At some point I thought the hell with this last achievement.
I feel no shame cheating on this race. It's a scripted disgrace of a race.
Now I can finally continue!

There's a trainer that lets you slow down time as well which makes it easier when you drift over the grass.

thank you so much, even though im a bit shamed for this is my first time cheating to beat a part of a game, the shame is softened by this mission being god awful

Huh? All the AI cars crash if they get in front of you though... I was driving like a maniac drifting around corners taking flying jumps at 100mph and I still won after multiple hard crashes on my first attempt xD Can you even lose this race?
