Descrição
UPDATE: The original author has uploaded the same mod "here." This mod will remain uploaded but feel free to unsubscribe and use the original.

THIS MOD IS COMPATIBLE WITH EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING!

Introduction & Contents
What's that? Can't have massive battles because you're running R2 on a potato? Say no more!
This mod forks the very popular yet simple "Performance Maker for massive battles" by WhyXelSink from Total War Attila into Total War Rome 2. The effects are explained below.
  • The range at which unit graphics are loaded at high definition is reduced.
  • Units far away from the battle camera will now have low quality to lessen the burden on your system having to load details that aren't going to matter to you unless you are trying to take screenshots.

Installation & Compatibility
  • To install, first subscribe to this mod, and place this mod above any other mods in the mod launcher.
  • This mod is save game compatible, and will likely be compatible with all future versions of any mod you are using.
  • Although this mod will be multiplayer compatible, multiplayer in R2 is often a very buggy process that I will not be able help much should it become an issue. All I can say regarding this is make sure both parties have the identical setup and mod load order when attempting multiplayer.

Credits
This mod is merely a fork of an existing mod concept from WhyXelSink's Performance Maker for massive battles from Total War Attila.
Should the original maker of this mod find issue, I will bring down this mod accordingly.

Guys the original author has uploaded the same mod now. This mod will remain uploaded but feel free to switch to the original author's. :)

He could have tweaked the LOD ranges to his liking, but I find it unlikely. Most likely that mod and this mod is nearly the same if not identical. It's not complicated a mod, it's just a copy and paste from the attila version really.

That kind of stutter is an issue with CPU and memory. This mod is more of a reduction of GPU workload. Unfortunately I am unaware of any way to mod the CPU workload. The only way is to reduce your battle size and switch off demanding settings like SSAO.

hello, thanks for the mod but there is one other issue. micro stutter on huge battles. my camera movement is fine, lets say around 60 fps but if there is a huge battle only my soldier animations tend to act like they have 2 fps while camera or anything else is 60 fps. this mostly happens when a huge amount of armies fight one another. Could u happen to make a mod that fixes this?

As it says in the definition it reduces the range at which units are loaded, so your gpu will use less resources having to load units in battle.

how does it give you performance though
