HISTORY
________________________________________________________________

Having a need for a basic utility vehicle template to streamline the use of Earth's meagre resources, the Coalition developed the UM-3 series of space vehicles in collaboration with Eurasian Heavy Industries and Beck Aerospace GmbH.

The result is a compact, all-environment craft resembling a crab that can be easily modified for various space engineering roles.

The "Crab" has seen wide use throughout all factions of the Coalition.

This version is the mining version, that features dual articulated drill arms that allow a pilot to easily mine resources in deep space or in a gravity well while allowing the craft to remain level. It is capable of shuttling between an orbital vessel and the planet surface under full load, due to its powerful hydrogen thrusters array and generous fuel capacity.

Further, it is capable of recharging its batteries and refuel in-situ, due to its Hydrogen Engine and O2/H2 Generator, assuming a source of ice can be found.
