Oompa Loompa Doopety Doo...

This mod adds the titular Oompa Loompas from the movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, NOT the Oompa Loompas from the movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Oompa Loompas originate from the core planet "Earth," where they were working in a fantastical factory-and-farm combo for a visionary named "Willy Wonka." When he eventually passed away, Oompa Loompas decided to continue his legacy by continuing to make treats for the masses. But they found out that sugary confectionaries were not the only consumables people enjoyed. It turned out that drugs were a very popular and incredibly profitable alternative. Thus, with their prowess in plants and skill in cooking, Oompa Loompas became the best drug lords on Earth. Their skills were so prized that when the space age came, Oompa Loompas were able to spread across space by offering their services to pirate cruisers and research vessels.

Oh yeah, they are also completely unhinged.

Oompa Loompas were already considered callous due to singing when naïve and spoiled children made fools of themselves. But when Wonka passed away, they either lost all empathy to humanity, or they were no longer kept in check by the one man who could. Perhaps both. They do not care about deaths that do not affect them, and they are just general psychopaths. Perhaps due to the fact they only react to tragedy by singing, they are horrible wardens and traders. And due to being callous in general, they do not focus on tending and surgery.

Oompa Loompas have a traditionally tribal culture, but they also tend to have a tiered hierarchy not unlike a corporation. They are capable of creating industrial gear and munitions, and the more powerful members have very high tier weaponry that can wipe out a small town. While Oompa Loompas are valuable pawns to have in your colony, they are also very valuable as an ally. It is wise to not mess with them.

Advantages: High cooking, plant work, and drug making speed. Higher drug plant yield. Smaller body size. Psychopaths.

Disadvantages: Horrible social skill. Psychopaths. Tend to be good in only a few skills, though there are exceptions. Poor medics.


Q: Is this compatible with Combat Extended?
A: Actually a fair question. The answer is no, though I am not adverse to making a patch if there is enough demand for it. I just need to learn how...

Q: How long did you spend making this mod?
A: A few days, but most of that was coming up with backstories.
