Listen to this while reading through the guide

"𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘚𝘶𝘴𝘴𝘶𝘥𝘪𝘰, 𝘢 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵, 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘨, 𝘢 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘧𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦"

In this guide, you'll find everything you need to create a 𝚂𝙸𝙶𝙼𝙰 𝙼𝚊𝚕𝚎 and maybe even a 𝚂𝙸𝙶𝙼𝙰 𝙵𝚎𝚖𝚊𝚕𝚎. In each section, it is applicable to are console commands. Some people just want to start off with a certain build from Doc Mitchell's house. Below are two console commands to help you skip through the tedious process of leveling up and add what you may need for this build.

The name "SPECIAL" is an acronym standing for the primary statistics in the system: Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, and Luck.

Strength - 7
Perception - 1
Endurance - 7
Charisma - 6
Intelligence - 5
Agility - 7
Luck - 7

Keeping a high strength so we can perform our executions and murders hard and fast. Since guns aren't our main weapons of use, perception can be kept low. Endurance so we can keep our looks up. Charisma to smooth talk our way through our problems and lure in victims. We're not dumb and we're not hyper-intelligent, intelligence can be kept at a normal level. Agility should be kept high so that we can chase down and chop people up longer. Luck so we can get our bloody mess perk and have a higher chance of critical hits.

𝚂𝚔𝚒𝚕𝚕𝚜
Skills are vital to a Sigma's Grindset. For this playthrough, we heavily want to focus on Melee with the capabilities of being able to wield a pistol when need be. For this reason, we'll be picking
  • Guns
  • Melee
  • Speech

Getting these to 100 will only make your homicidal tendencies strong and you, even more capable of withstanding the wasteland.

𝙿𝚎𝚛𝚔𝚜
I found these perks to be the best ones for this build. Remember, we're aiming for movie accuracy. There may be perks that work with this melee-light gun build. I'm simply trying to make our character as close to accurate as we can get to the real P. Bateman. We should have most if not all of these by level 20. As mentioned before, you can use console commands and get yourself up to level 20 or naturally progress through the game. Your choice.

Rapid Reload, Lady Killer, Gunslinger, Bloody Mess, Finesse, Unstoppable Force, Quick Draw, Cannibal, Action Boy, Action Boy (2),

𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄! - Cannibal is an OPTIONAL perk simply because of the line from the movie which may or may not be a real thing he did.

𝚆𝚎𝚊𝚙𝚘𝚗𝚜
Patrick Bateman is versatile in his methods of killing. He just can't seem to control his homicidal tendencies and neither can you! Weapons for this playthrough are up to you. For movie accuracy, you'll need to invest in both guns and melee. I find this build to be more for people who enjoy melee, but hopefully, gun build lovers can enjoy this.

While in the movie, Patrick only used a gun during his psychological mental breakdown police chase and while he came close to using a nail gun in his apartment to execute his secretary Jean, he didn't actually take the kill so I didn't worry too much about finding a weapon in New Vegas that's similar to a nail gun. The pistol he used is close to either the .45 Auto Pistol or 9mm Pistol. Either of these will work for our playthrough. Your call as to which one you wanna use.

                                                        The .45 Auto Pistol - xx008E1A
                                                           The 9mm Pistol - 000E3778

Now for Patrick's specialty, sharp and pointy objects. The Fire Axe, Chainsaw, and Knife are our go-to melee weapons in this run. The axe was used to butcher Paul Alan, the chainsaw cut Christie down to size, and the knife was used to murder a deadbeat jobless homeless man in an alleyway. The "Knock Knock" variant axe can also be used but I find the Fire Axe to be a more aesthetically closer axe to the one seen in the movie.

                                                                 Fire Axe - 0011A8B9
                                                                Chainsaw - 0015FE44
                                                                    Knife - 00004334

Now that weapons have been sorted, let's move over to gaining the exaggerated swagger of an 80's Wallstreet entrepreneur.

President Kimball's Suit is perfect for our Wasteland Bateman. Patrick wears many different suits throughout the movie but the president's suit sports almost an identical look to Patrick's outfit in the scene where he's breaking off his "relationship" with his so-called fiance. The tie and blueish color look spot on. At first, I believed the Trench Coat would have been our go-to outfit for this game. Fallout New Vegas's Trench Coat looks very similar to Bateman's outfit during his end of movie murder spree. The only problem, this was ONLY available through console commands but once the command was input, the suit would not show in the pip-boy and is not equipable by the player. So the Trench Coat is out of the picture, the only outfits that really fit us for this playthrough would be the President's suit still and Dean's Tuxedo. Ambassador Crocker's suit sorta works but looks more similar to the Joker's suit due to having a flower on it. Pick whichever one you'd like to wear, this is just to help us tap into the mindset of a Sigma Male.

                                                        ▐ 𝓒𝓸𝓷𝓼𝓸𝓵𝓮 𝓒𝓸𝓶𝓶𝓪𝓷𝓭𝓼
                                                         Dean's Tuxedo - xx00EF16
                                                  President Kimball's suit - 0013002C
                                                Ambassador Crocker's suit - 0011BEE2

That's it, you're done. You're ready to travel into the wasteland. Your character is now LITERALLY YOU! Feedback is much appreciated! Rate and Favorite if you want, not a biggie if you don't :)

On August 9th, 2010 I turned up at a Gamestop in a long shuttered suburban mall. Arriving around 11 PM, I stood in a long line of people which snaked around a pillar, down some stairs, and half-way to the Orange Julius by the food court entrance - I was there to claim a pre-order copy of F:NV at the strike of midnite.

While I waited in line I read a worn, coffee-stained copy of American Psycho by Brett Easton Ellis for the third or fourth time (I have read all of his novels up to Lunar Park, but have not followed him ever after). This should have turned out much in the same way a person accidentally invents the Reasor's Peanut Butter Cup - you have the base ingreadients on your person which become combined following a freak accident of some kind. Alas, it never occurred to me that the two should be combined! This is the greatest Steam guide I have ever seen.

I decided to just leave traits up to ya'll, but if I had to choose two. "Trigger Discipline" and "Wild Wasteland" are probably the most Bateman traits.
