[Synergy VR-FIX] Disable VR-Mode if you have installed SteamVR, without uninstall it!

If you start Synergy and go into OPTIONS menu and your game is automatically swiched to SteamVR mode, this guide is for you!

Steps to FIX
  1. Exit from Synergy
  2. Go to Synergy root install directory folder
    • Find game install directory:
      If you don't know where is your Synergy install directory is located, you can open Steam main window, navigate to LIBRARY > Right click on Synergy > select Properties… > LOCAL FILES tab > Browse… button

  3. Find synergy folder and open it
  4. Find gameinfo text file > right click and select Open with > , then find and select WordPad
  5. In gameinfo.txt you need looking for supportsvr string, just change number 1 to number 0
    • Example:
      "GameInfo" { "title" " synergy" "game" "Synergy" "type" "multiplayer_only" "developer" "Synergy Mod Team" "developer_url" "http://synergymod.net" "manual" "http://synergymod.net/Documents" "icon" "materials/synergy" "GameData" "../synergy/SDK/synergy.fgd" "nomodels" "1" "nohimodel" "1" "nocrosshair" "1" "supportsvr" "0" "filesystem"
  6. In WordPad's window click on File > Save, then close the program
  7. Now you can start Synergy and see SteamVR is not start then you go to game OPTIONS

@scout gaming | NexusProject , this guide is addressed to fix the problem when virtual reality is turned on in the game menu when SteamVR is installed.

An alternative option is to simply remove SteamVR from the device.

This guide is needed only for those who do not want to delete installed SteamVR

That problem was getting kinda annoying to me, this even happened in other Source Engine games.
Thanks for the guide! Didin't knew it was just as easy as editing a file and then changing a number.

@oetham , so mod/game developers must disable this function by itself. Because if Valve release any new feature on SDK 2013 this will apply to all games that based on this engine version.

@oetham , it's because Source Engine version used in SynergyMod and other games (like: HL2: DM, HL2: Update, Resistance Element mod and etc.) using same common depots and gameinfo files. It's looks like these games/mods is based on Source SDK Multiplayer 2013 released after SteamPipe update since 2013-th year.
