Welcome to The Great Anime Redux!

March forth onto the battlefields of the Great War with your fellow waifus. From the muddy trenches of the Western Front to the vast steppes of the Eastern Front, lead your favorite anime characters to victory with this mod!

Features:
  • More than a thousand portraits of the Great War [Redux] all replaced by their anime counterparts!
  • Division voice lines for many of the major nations! Something which is absent on the Great War mods.
  • Event pictures.
  • (A few) focus tree icons.
  • WW1-themed loading screens and an anime main theme.
  • Actual minister portraits for some of the nations, amazing isn't it?

Roadmap:
  • More event and report pictures.
  • More minister portraits.



Frequently Asked Questions:

Is this mod compatible for multiplayer?
This is a graphics only mod so it will work.

Is this mod save game compatible?
See above (so yes it should work as well). You can load a save game and anime portraits will replace the normal ones.

When ‘till the next update?
When it’s ready. I'll ensure that updates get released in a finished state.

Will the male names turn into female names?
No since a significant amount of portraits are art with no character name and changing names will also break Ironman compatibility.

Who is the girl/source for x? (plus loading screen source)
You can ask for the girl/source in the Discord server (linked above) as maintaining a gallery with all the sources would be impossible.

I have discovered a bug/missing portrait/etc.!

@Lader если этот мод добавляет новые портреты, то они не будут анимезированы. Я могу добавить возможность использовать этот мод для замещения уже существующих портретов и супер-евентов, но новые не будут тронуты.

You can find out more on the GWR discord server, but essentially the mod was falsely accused of copyright infringement. Steam had to take the mod down, and the devs are in talks with them about getting them reinstated, and before that happens any other mod page for GWR that gets released currently is not from the devs and is just a reupload by people not affiliated with the mod at all.

did the great war redux get taken down? i cant find it in the workshop and links to it lead nowhere

This must mean that someone using it (or GWR itself) doesn't have the latest version installed, steam doesn't always update properly, you might need to resub to the mod to have it work. As I said, this mod should absolutely not make multiplayer impossible, there's no changes to the checksum.
