⦁ Doki Doki Literature Club was created by Dan Salvato.

⦁ DDLC was made known to come out on September 8th 2017, not even a month before the release. The game was up and running on September 22nd 2017, and was completely launched the 2nd of October.

⦁ DDLC will break your heart, you have been fair warned. </3

⦁ This ending can only be seen if players see all NINE of the CGs (event images) of the three girls in Act 1. There are three pictures for each girl. As well as Monika's CG in Act 3.

⦁ You MUST save at the first poem, to revert back to after going down every character route.
To collect Sayori's CG Hug, you have to say you love her.

⦁ If you copy saves, paste back into the game, or move girls to a different folder - Will result in Monika asking if you are cheating the game.

⦁ Game can be continued normally after.

⦁ Once you have reached Monika by herself, it is safe to delete her .chr file, located in characters folder.

⦁ You would be completing the game normally in this play through, but the images will not be deleted.

⦁ The game files will be deleted still, and the player must delete the firstrun file.

⦁ The "Persistent" file, from the save folder, stores information about the current act.

⦁ Some of the Poem words can be used again in different acts.

⦁ Base 64 is used often for decoding files in DDLC - Base64 is a group of similar binary-to-text encoding schemes that represent binary data in an ASCII string format by translating it into a radix-64 representation.

⦁ Before Yuri confesses her love to you in Act 2, a file called "have a nice weekend!" will appear in the game's files. It is a vigenère cipher that, when decoded with the key "libitina", will give a Base64 text. When decoded it results in the following text: What is a man without knowing the rich aroma of the future; the hot, complex balance of the present; and the bittersweet aftertaste of the past?


⦁ A Base64 - Open Your Third Eye - Results in the following few sentences: I can feel the tenderness of her skin through the knife, as if it were an extension of my sense of touch. My body nearly convulses. There's something incredibly faint, deep down, that screams to resist this uncontrollable pleasure. But I can already tell that I'm being pushed over the edge. I can't... I can't stop myself.


⦁ Yuri's Poem w/ Blood Decoded - Fresh blood seeps through the line parting her skin and slowly colors her breast red. I begin to hyperventilate as my compulsion grows. The images won’t go away. Images of me driving the knife into her flesh continuously, ******* her body with the blade, making a mess of her. My head starts going crazy as my thoughts start to return. Shooting pain assaults my mind along with my thoughts. This is disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. How could I ever let myself think these things? But it’s unmistakable. The lust continues to linger through my veins. An ache in my muscles stems from the unreleased tension experienced by my entire body. Her Third Eye is drawing me closer.


⦁ Portrait of Markov - Yuri's Book - Reference to Russian mathematician Andrey Markov, known for creating the stochastic processes known as Markov Chains and Markov Processes. This "Markov process" is the testing of certain variables and the states in between the variables that are tested. For example: The state between birth and death.
⦁ 1st Playthrough - Yuri describes book - "Basically, it´s about this girl in highschool who moves in with her long-lost younger sister...But as soon as she does so, her life get´s really strange. She gets targeted by these people who escaped from a human experiment prison....And while her life is in danger she has to desperately choose who to trust"
⦁ In the Second Playthrough, Yuri describes the book a bit more vivid - "Basically it´s about this religious camp that was turned into a human experiment prison...all the people trapped there have this trait that turns them into killing machines that lust for blood. But the facility gets even worse and they start selectively breeding people by cutting of their limbs and affixing them to..."



⦁ When Sayori Dies - File "game/script-ch5.rpy" , line 307 see traceback.txt for details - when you go to the file it says: I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.
⦁ If you press Alt-F4 will cause a distorted message. An image of Sayori glitching will pop up: If you press YES the game will close if you press NO you are throw into Act 2. This only happens once so you cannot try to do it again.


⦁ In Act 2, during the poem picking process, you have a 9% chance of seeing Monika pop up from the bottom.
