If you got npcs in your safezone. Make sure to setup your safezone to kick out SPRT and SPID. Keen sets this off by default. Also no reuploading.

Vanilla Npcs only mod. I suggest using this or the vanilla only mod not both.

This mod turns Vanilla npcs Wolves and Spiders into Ai enabled npcs. This makes them perform better compared to vanilla npcs and their broken Ai and they're more optimized so you can have way more ingame. There is also a threat system so the more armed you are the stronger the bigger waves become. Spiders will now spawn into various biomes of their homeworld making them a bit more camouflage. Wolves won't harm players but Cyberhounds will. Enjoy going Starship Troopers in SE, you're welcome Keen.

Wolves are now passive and won't attack unless they're attacked by the player or a hostile npc.
Spiders kinda work like their 2015 counter part. They'll pathfind to the player and hunt them down on grids or even in voxel caves and break down doors or cockpits if they can reach them.

A few new npcs are added and most likely more in the future.
Baby Spiders: They're just tiny little spiders cute little babies~
Cyberhound the classic SE Cyberhound makes a return and they'll hunt the player or other npcs. They will kill wolves on sight for revenge for them taking their place in SE.

Wolves do not spawn. Been playing on earthlike for a few hours, wolves never spawn. I have the dependencies loaded before this mod in the load order, so... Yeah... Something I gotta be aware of or am missing?

For anyone having issues getting Zombies and such to spawn on modded worlds or at all, something I found that works:

It seems Keen changed how the SPID faction gets generated, it used to be at game start from memory, it's now when the first vanilla spider spawns.

Why does this matter? Because most of the creatures in this pack try to get assigned to the SPID faction, if it doesn't exist it fails what I suspect is a spawn condition.

The fix is simple: Edit your save to add SPID from another clean Alien start save that has had at least one spider spawn to generate the faction.

After that, I never had any more issues with missing creatures from this mod.

do wolves/spiders have to be enabled in the game settings for this to work, or is better to not have them enabled for the mod?

Nevermind resolved sorry, figured out it was an issue because "Cyberhound" was missing in the AIEnabled config as an eligible bot type for some reason. Adding it fixed the issue.

Are Cyberhounds seemingly broken for anyone else with this mod? Some complaints in the logs, and even repeatedly spamming /MES.Spawn.Creature.<SpawnGroupName>(I forget the spawngroup name right now) doesn't appear to do anything that I can tell. The spawn groups are showing up in /MES.GESAP though
