The Type 24 Chiang Kai-Shek rifle was a Chinese version of the Standard Model Mauser rifle, a post WW1 illegal modification of the G98 which was shorter and more streamlined, eventually to become the Kar98k.
The Type 24 was one of the most produced rifles during the Sino-Japanese war along with the obsolete but reliable Hanyang 88 (A copy of the Gewehr 88). It was used during WW2 and the Chinese Civil War, along with the multitude of other rifles that got to China at the time.

Although this rifle is named with the name of Kai Shek, but in fact in China more people call it Type Zhong zheng, which is also the name Kai shek. Anyway thanks for your mods:pilothappy:
