Lycans vs Vampires (Part 1 - the Silver Hand Vampires)

NOW COMPANION NPCS TURN INTO WEREWOLVES DURING COMBAT! This mod transforms the Companions quest line into an epic battle of lycans against vampires! The lycanthrope werewolves of the Companions Circle are in a desperate struggle with vampires and thralls of the Silver Hand. Both sides seek the missing shards of the Wuuthrad, which now may be forged into a powerful vampire-slaying weapon. Will the lycans reforge the ancient battleaxe to give themselves the winning edge over the vampires? Or will the Silver Hand get the upper hand and stop the Companions?

The mod All Races Drop Skulls is NOT required, but is compatible. The Dawnguard DLC is not required, but is also compatible. It's recommended (but not required!) you use a character who hasn't started the Companions quests. If you have already completed the quests, you may use the mod to get the new Wuuthrad, silver, Skyforge Steel and Vampire Slayer weapons.

1. Description
============

NEW: Companions NPCs now transform into werewolves during combat!

I got the idea for this mod after watching one of the Underworld films, which centered around a centuries-old war between lycans and vampires. The Skyrim Companions seemed the best place to start, since members of its Circle are werewolves. So I changed their enemies, the Silver Hand from bandits to vampires and thralls.

Since both sides are seeking shards of Ysgramor's enchanted battle axe, the Silver Hand now have a reason for making it the center of the conflict: The Wuuthrad is now a weapon that is extra deadly todeadly to vampires, as well as draugrs, dragon priests and other undead.

Who should consider this mod: Players who played through the Companions quests before and would like a few surprises this time around. Players who don't have Dawnguard but would like to fight more vampires. Players who already have Dawnguard but just can't get enough of killing vampires!

I had fun playing through the quests of this mod and hope you will enjoy it too!

2. Features of the Mod
===================

* Silver Hand are Now Vampires and Thralls: Many Silver Hand are no longer merely bandits. Many who use one-handed weapons are now leveled vampires. Many who use two-handed weapons and bows are now leveled vampires' thralls. Several who are bosses are now leveled vampire bosses.

* Companions Turn Into Werewolves: Aela, Farkas and Vilkas transform into werewolves during combat, if their health values get too low. They remain werewolves for two minutes before transforming back into Nords. The transformations occur during the Companions quests, and after the questsline is completed and they become followers of the player.

* Wuuthrad Battle Axe Now a Vampire Killing Weapon: Now does 25% more damage to vampires, vampire bosses, dragon priests, draugrs, draugr death lords, ghosts, ice wraiths, skeletons, wisps and wisp mothers, and may be improved with an ebony ingot

* Additional Skyforge Steel Weapons: Skyforge bow, arrows, mace and war hammer, all of which may be purchased from Eorlund Gray-Mane after the quest "Proving Honor." They may each be improved with a steel ingot.

* Skyforge Vampire Slayer Weapons: Like the Wuuthrad, these weapons do 25% more damage to vampires and the other undead. You may create them at the Skyforge using any Skyforge Steel weapon, a steel ingot and a Glenmoril Witch head. They may be improved with a steel ingot and the Arcane Smithing perk.

* Silver Weapons Good for More Than Werewolves: Now does 25 more damage to werewolves, as well as other beasts--wolves, ice wolves, trolls, frost trolls, bears, cave bears, snow bears, sabre cats, snowy sabre cats, horkers, dogs and skeevers. May be improved with a silver ingot

* Improved Wolf Armor: Boots, cuirass and gauntlets now have the same armor value as steel plate but the lighter weight of steel armor. They now cost more than steel armor, but still less than steel plate armor

* Farkas Enhancements: Becomes a werewolf during combat. Now wears Wolf Armor, instead of steel armor. Added perks related to his roll as a Heavy Armor skill trainer--Juggernaut, Fists of Steel, Cushioned and Conditioning.

* Aela the Huntress Enhancements: Becomes a werewolf during combat. Now uses the new Skyforge Steel Bow, and her Draugr armor is changed from heavy to light, since it is mostly chainmail. Added perks related to her combat style and roll as an Archery skill trainer--Overdraw, Ranger, Stealth, Muffled Movement.

* Vilkas Enhancements: Becomes a werewolf during combat. Now uses a different weapon than his brother Farkas, a Skyforge Steel battle-axe. Added perks related to his roll as a Two-Handed skill trainer--Barbarian, Champion's Stance, Devastating Blow, Limb Splitter.

* Skyjor: During the quest "The Silver Hand, he wears Wolf Armor Gauntlets of Strength, which increases the wearer's carry weight.

* Kodlak: Wears Wolf Armor Cuirass of Beast Healing, which increases the wearer's healing rate, and Wolf Armor Gauntlets of Beast Endurance, which increases the wearer's stamina recovery rate.

3. If Using All Races Drop Skulls
===========================

PLEASE NOTE: If you subscribe to the mod All Races Drop Skulls, either subscribe to it first, or change the load order so this mod loads after the other mod. It's easy to change the load order:
1. Launch Skyrim
2. On the splash screen, select Data Files
3. Select lycans_vs_vampires_sp0
4. Use the down button to move it to the bottom of the list, or lower than races_skulls_sp0
5. Select OK and start the game.

* Dawnguard - not required, but Silver Hand vampires use the Dawnguard armor if this DLC is used

5. Installing
==========

1. If you want to use All Races Drop Skulls, subscribe to it, first.
2. Log into Steam
3. Select the Subscribe button on this page
4. Start Skyrim and wait for the splash screen to finish updating
5. After updating, start the game
Note: If you subscribe to All Races Drop Skulls later, follow the instructions in section (4) of this description.

6. Incompatibilities With Other Mods
==============================

No known incompatibilities. If using All Races Drop Skulls please follow the instructions in section (4) to make sure the Silver Hand become vampires, instead of remaining bandits.
