Hidden Deep is currently in Early Access, that means, by playing on hard difficulties you automatically agree to:
-Game crashes at the mission finish
-Die to the bugs (literally)
-Softlocking the game

But if you are brave enough to play this game on Intense Exploration+, here you will find advanced tips and mechanics to the game, which can help you to beat the game, if you still can't.
The game on hard difficulties is pretty easy, but requires patience.

This guide is made for people who wants to perfect their scouting abilities.
Proper Equipment Usage
Weapons

There are currently 2 firearms present in the game, but more weapons coming very soon, such as frag grenade and crowbar.
It's actually hard to waste all ammo in the level, everytime you get enough of ammo for a level, except realism difficulty, there you should do a proper ammo managment, as you loose a full clip. But if there 3 or less bullet left, recommended to reload, because if you encounter 2 or more enemies at close range, you are doomed.
Aim precisely if you're low on ammo, perhaps it's better to let the monster come closer, because it's hard to aim at long range.
It is recommended to save ammo in both firearms, because pistol is useful on the rope, and Assault rifle at close range for enemies clusters.

Dark Hornet | .50 -Desert Eagle

Perhaps our main weapon, the pistol.
Great for single targets at medium range, also useful as can be used on a rope, even though, your aim drops a lot.

GR-47 | 7.62 -M4A1

Automatic rifle, good option for enemies clusters at close range. Perhaps everyone's favorite weapon.

Scanball
A good alternative to the pistol and rifle!
Can scout nearby areas for monsters, and even kill them.
It's actually very useful as you don't risk with your health, only except if you left your scout in unsafe area..
Know Your Enemy
Flies are pretty easy to kill, just lure them with a gunshot. But be careful, they can spit out worms and on small distance they jump on you dealing 45% damage.

Spiders. these are tricky to kill actually. They really like to camp on you.
When they are on the edge, don't shoot too early, they retreat after that. You can wait some until they come closer and it's easier to kill them.

Cocons. These meat stumps can spit out up to 5 spiders. It is recommended to kill them ASAP, or avoid them. When you disturb them, they unlock a countdown, after seconds 5 or 7, they start to open and spit out spiders. The faster you kill them, the more ammo you will save.

Giant enemy spider is also easy, 3 rifle magazines stop it. Just move up when he's moving away.
Expect The Unexpectable
Never let your guard down, this is Hidden Deep. Flies can come from a place where you didn't expect them to be. Often when you complete a task or return from place where you're already been, enemies could respawn. Flies are actively flying around, so be careful, as they can come out from dark place where you're already checked.

Be extra careful with mini elevators, enemies can came from both sides, and damage to you is guaranteed.

Open areas are more likely to contain 3 and more monsters.

Be careful at bifurcations such as here, flies are too often occupy you from both sides. Don't even think what's gonna happen to you if they throw a worm.
Use your surroundings
As we know, we move the story and only go further into it. So, if youre leaving some area forever (especially with cocons) you can just run past through it, avoiding wasting a lot of ammo.

You often should check nearby caves for flies, as they are attracted to sounds. Spiders are not really reacting to the sound, but they really like to camp.

Don't forget to leave your engineers inside machinery, such as cranes and machines. They are invulnerable for bullets and monsters.

Mini elevators are fun, you can use them to trap monsters, which saves you a lot of ammo and health
Risking
If you are confident, you might wanna take a risk to anything, swinging to the other side, rushing, or anything else. Perhaps you even succeed with this, which is really cool actually, but remember, this can cost you a scout's live or mission restart. Think twice.
And you have to remember that Hidden Deep has a lot of surprises..
Abusing game mechanics
Do you feel using dirty tactics in the game?

Perhaps you could waste all equipment at the end of the level, because you will get new every mission.

There is also a cool trick which i found, saves a lot of time for a plasma cutter (perhaps will be fixed soon)
Post Scriptum
There is not too much to write currently, as the game has only basic mechanics. Perhaps i will update this guide with more info as updates will be delivered to the game.
If you know any other good tip, feel free to share it in the comments! Thanks for reading!

"/" to pin the rope to the ground. This guide is outdated, check the new complete guide. If you keep forgetting controls, you can see them in the game settings.

Can I make a suggestion for you to add to this guide? Please include screenshots of all the tutorials on how to use each item as well. I got really frustrated trying to pin a rope into the ground in the game because it just wasn't working and I had forgotten the controls. It'd be very helpful.
