Adds the race of Grodans. Aliens who usually organize in military groups and tend to be aggressive towards others. They aren't known for their intellect, however their natural strength and toughness makes them great soldiers and laborers.

Grodan Race Stats (compared to humans):
  • MarketValue: 1500
  • RoyalFavorValue: 2
  • HungerRateMultiplier: 1.2
  • EatingSpeed: 1.2
  • ResearchSpeed: 0.7
  • MedicalOperationSpeed: 0.7
  • MedicalTendSpeed: 0.7
  • DrugSynthesisSpeed: 0.7
  • MiningSpeed: 1.3
  • ConstructionSpeed: 1.3
  • SmeltingSpeed: 1.3
  • CarryingCapacity: 85
  • baseBodySize: 1.2
  • baseHealthScale: 1.2
Additional Changes and Addons:
  • They have increased fist damage and a 100% chance of having the tough trait.

  • They come with their own outlander faction entirely consisting of Grodans and can also be spotted in other factions. For example as town guards or slashers.

  • Besides factions you can also find them in-between your colonists, as wanderers, space refugees or slaves.

  • The mod also includes custom player factions if you want a new colony or tribe with only Grodans and don't want to reroll colonists.
    (you need to select this faction in the scenario editor)

Is this compatible with CE or other mods?
Yes, this mod is compatible with CE but there were no specific compatibilities made for other mods otherwise.

Is this mod safe to add into an existing playthrough?
It should not break anything, but you won't get the faction unless you use a mod that allows you to add factions mid-game. (like Faction Control)

Will there be a biotech version with its own genes?
No, for two reasons. First is that they are aliens, not xenos. Second is that i don't own the biotech dlc and can't make it.

Hi, yes indeed, Biotech.

Removing the 3rd line and pasting the 2nd line instead allowed me to fix the character with the character editor. Without doing that, the game will freeze.

If you are talking about kids from biotech, I didn't patch for biotech. The xml files you are seeing is a failed experiment of mine to make a compatibility patch for babies and children mod originally made for 1.3, it is not meant to be functional.

The last one seems incorrect? There is no texture for teenagers in the folder of the first two. That second folder does not seem to exist (at least not in the mod).
