This is a guide to help players collect every Title in Choice of Life: Middle Ages. Two of the game’s achievements either ask you to collect 24 or all of the titles available, and this guide aims to make trying to do that slightly less painful.

It is advisable to use the guide after having already completed the game at least once. The guide contains spoilers so it is designed more for those players who want to 100% complete the game and achievements.

1. Bird Man

When given the option, pull the horse’s tail. You might have to be on your last heart and die to obtain this, but that’s not verified.


2. Beggar

Start as a peasant. You need to call the adults when you meet a strange teenager, to avoid being brought into the bandits, and do not take a job at the inn, to avoid the mercenary.

As a result, you will be out of money and will be given a choice to beg for money. Choose this and the title will trigger.




3. Mumbler

When you encounter the bandits in the forest, greet the bandit leader, and then apologize.




4. Blacksmith Expert

Start as a Peasant. You need to call the adults when you meet a strange teenager and do not take a job at the inn, to avoid the mercenary. As a result, you will eventually be given a choice to help the blacksmith. When he offers you his challenge choose the following options:

5. Sturdy Fellow

Once you are with the bandits, complete your first task, and then choose: make a suggestion. After this you can challenge the leader to a duel.

To achieve this title you will need to 3 to 4 hearts at this point, depending on whether you stole chainmail from the earl on the road.

Fight the bandit leader. At the end of the battle, when the leader thinks you are dead, choose the option to get up. This will remove another heart but, if you survive, you will be given this title.



6. Family Man

Start as a Peasant. You need to call the adults when you meet a strange teenager and do not take a job at the inn, to avoid the mercenary. If you haven't joined the bandits or the mercenary, you will eventually find a bag of money. When given the choice, take the money to the family, not the inn.




7. Mushroom Lover

Start as a peasant and play until you are able to get a job in the tavern. Join the mercenary when asked and defeat the sorcerer. After that, ask for your share. You should have a mysterious mushroom in your inventory now.

After a few choices, you will be offered the option to work for the blacksmith, take that path. When his challenge starts, choose:

8. Chieftain

Start as a Beggar or Townsman. Once you're in town, "look around" and then refuse the beggar's job offer. Do not resist arrest. When your cellmate escapes, run the opposite direction. Then "run farther" past the squeaky voice (the rat). If you follow these directions, you will be asked to participate in the underground fights. Then choose:

37. Nobleman

Start as Head Priest. Attend all meetings you are given the choice to attend. After advising the king a few times, you will be given the opportunity to create your own coat of arms. Create one and the title will pop.



38. Master of Persuasion

Start as Head Priest. Attend all meetings you are given the choice to attend. After the first meeting, you should be given the “eloquence” skill. Once you have this skill, continue playing until the war with the southerners begins and the king leaves. When you are free to explore the castle, go to the royal chambers first.


39. Enophilus

Start as Head Priest or Jester. Wait for the departure of the king and then choose “go!”

Start in the final chapter. When given the option, kill the king.



42. Deserter

Start in the final chapter. Whichever ally you initially choose (demon or prince), betray them.



43. Parliamentarian

Start in the final chapter. Either kill the king or afterwards betray the prince, but continue until you reach the village. Then choose “negotiate.”



44. Witch Hunter

Start in the final chapter. Either kill the king or afterwards betray the prince, but continue until you are given the option to run into the forest. Go into the forest. When given the option, finish off the witch.



45. Coward

Start in the final chapter. Refuse to kill the king. Continue until you are given the choice to run, and then run away.



46. Treasure hunter
Start in the final chapter. Refuse to kill the king, but do not betray the demon afterwards. Continue until past where you were given the choice to run for the Coward title until you are at the Prince’s urgent council. Agree with him and save the Prince as you continue playing. When given the choice between looking for excalibur and looking for the vials, choose excalibur.
