Commando: What Your Job Is...
Your job is simple, shoot/grenade all of the non priority targets to develop a frontline and keep the Sharpshooter(s) and Medic(s) safe.

This includes:

Specifically keeping Sharpshooter(s) clear to make their shots.
Clear all low priority targets away from high priority targets.
Killing Clots
Killing Gorefasts
Killing Crawlers

If the Sharpshooter does not take down a Scrake/Fleshpound and it goes bezerk, assist in taking it down.
Sharpshooter: What Your Job Is...
You job is to take on the high priority targets from the back/retreat lines. You should be very close to the medics.

This includes:

Aim for the head!
Headshots on Scrakes.
Headshots on Flesh Pounds.
Headshots on Sirens.
Headshots on Husks.
Field Medic: What Your Job Is...
Your job is probably the most complex/challenging: to keep everyone alive and healthy from the back/retreat line.

This includes:

NOT being up front like the Commandos, Bezerkers, Firebugs, Demolitions players.
Specifically keeping an eye on Commandos and Sharpshooters health.
If a berzerker is kiting (running the map in a circle) or tanking (keeping a heavy specimen busy away from the line), while the rest of your team is holding a position, do not chase the berzerker and abandon the rest of your team! (Exceptions: 1 medic is already assisting the rest of the team; first half of the game and the berzerker is the only one taking damage.)
Using med darts to heal players.
Using med grenades to create a temporary healing area on the frontline so your teammates don't need to panic and/or retreat.
If the frontline fails, your weapons fire extremely fast and powerful, step up to hold the frontline until it is established again. As a medic, you also have stronger body armor, so don't be scared to take a couple hits while your team does whatever they need to do to re-establish the frontline.
If the Sharpshooter does not take down a Scrake/Fleshpound and it goes bezerk, assist in taking it down.

If any of your team dies and was in range of your grenades and darts, you aren't doing your job right.
Firebug: What Your Job Is...
Your job is to weaken the horde approaching the frontline.

This includes:

Burn all low priority targets.
Backing up the Commandos on the frontline.
Not to burn high priority targets like:
  • Scrakes
  • Fleshpounds
  • Husks

If the Sharpshooter does not take down a Scrake/Fleshpound and it goes bezerk, assist in taking it down.

It's important to NOT ignite scrakes or fleshpounds if a sharpshooter is present; when these heavy specimens catch fire, they become raged and can shrug off a headshot. Additionally, husks have a resistance to fire damage; if you need to assist in taking down a husk, do not use the flamethrower as it only uses fire damage. Weapons like the mac-10 and the trenchgun deal fire damage as well as ballistic damage, and will take down a husk much easier. Don't underestimate a mac-10, a concentrated burst to the face can even take down a scrake (Normal difficulty or lower).
Bezerker: What Your Job Is...
You job is to lessen the load on the frontline by attacking low and high priority targets.

This includes:

Scouting ahead of the frontline.
Attacking Clot hordes.
Attacking Gorefast pairs.
Attacking Scrakes.
Attacking Fleshpounds
. (if necessary)
Attacking Sirens. (if not in pairs or higher)

If the Sharpshooter does not take down a Scrake/Fleshpound and it goes bezerk, assist in taking it down.
Support Specialist: What Your Job Is...
You job is to backup the frontline.

This includes:

Finishing off any/all fired/napalmed targets.
Finishing off any/all berzerked targets.

If the Sharpshooter does not take down a Scrake/Fleshpound and it goes berzerk, assist in taking it down.

Alternatively, you may cover the secondary line, if present. I.E. if your team is holding a tunnel in KF-WestLondon, you can cover the entrance that the majority of the team isn't. Hang back and let the specimens come at you in a line, taking advantage of the penetration your weapons have.

If you are covering a secondary line, be sure to quickly let any sharpshooters know if a scrake or fleshpound is coming from your area! Even if the sharpshooter can't get to it in time, it's good for 1) the team to know there is a high priority target present, and 2) the medic to know you may need healing attention.
Demolitions: What Your Job Is...
Basically, you're the ultimate back up and on-call guy.

This includes:

Laying out pipebombs for Patriarch.
If both the primary and secondary lines fall, waste anything and everything to clear a path.
As with everyone else if the Sharpshooter fails to take down the Fleshpound or Scrake, assist in the take down.

If necessary, a demolitions player can take down a fleshpound with proper use of hand grenades and primary weapons (m79 / m32 / etc). Avoid using explosives on a scrake!

I think a lot of the problem is people tanking for kills and not helping their team. That really bothers me. When I'm around lvl 5 my immeadiate focus is shifted to the SS and Beserkers. As a commando I should already have my bullpup and back up fal if needed and my job from then on is helping control the horde and keep stalkers, crawlers, clots and gorefest off of the people who are killing the larger specimens. Also everyone should know by now where the damn bottle necks are. Always use the bottle neck unless you are the last fucker alive. You should never die on bioticslab and recently every game I jump into ends up dying before lvl 8 cause they are running around in the most open spot of the map (that's the back room that has two sets of stairs heading to the bottom section.) There are like 7 points of entry for specimen there....it doesn't work. Bottleneck at top starting hall and weld side doors. Easiest fucking map.

Berseker Rules !
Courageii 30 июн. 2014 г. в 18:50
only thing i disagree with is that medics should be focusing on healing commands and sharpshooters, sharpshooters shouldnt be even taking damage, you should be spamming darts on berserker and focusing more on support, and occasionally commandos, rarely anything else, unless firebug is up close

Barrage,
I really want to thank you for that keybind idea for getting rid of the nametags. There have been a few times where I couldn't get a scrake that came from a door my teammates were standing next to (specifically in Waterworks) because the name tags were overlapping and in the way. That is definitely a useful tip.

I also want to thank you for making a point about the firebugs and setting things on fire. Too many either don't know or don't care and set SC and FPs aflame, either aggravating them or, in the SC's case, causing them to claw stupidly at the air and walk around in a circle lol

Nice job pointing out that SS should probably switch to another perk. I usually go for demo or commando, myself. Or medic if I see no one else is. Thanks for all your input here. It is much appreciated!
