The Ostauto MUTT 6x6 (Multiuse Tanker Truck) is a medium 6x6 tanker truck which has been the workdog of the Newquay Armed Forces to provide fuel and water to vehicles and personnel of all branches. The MUTT was Ostauto’s claim to fame and directly resulted in the contract that was awarded for the development and order of the MHTV 8x8. Additionally, the MUTT has been used as an Airport Fire Tender when it’s 17,000 Tank on the rear is filled with water, providing an additional two fire fighting lines, or acting as a water supply for dedicated appliances. The rugged nature of the MUTT has also seen numerous civilian variants of which are often seen acting either in a firefighting capacity or as Heavy Goods Vehicles.

- IGNITION [ALLOW ENGINE TO REACH ATLEAST 4RPS]
- REDUCE HANDBRAKE TO 0
- DRIVE GEAR [OR REVERSE GEAR DEPENDING ON SITUATION]
- [W] TO DRIVE, [S] TO BRAKE

PUMPING FUEL OR FIRE FIGHTING

IN THE WORKSHOP
- USE SELECT TOOL ON FLUID SPAWNER IN TANK
- FOR USE AS FUEL TANKER SELECT DIESEL OR JET FUEL
- FOR USE AS A FIRE TENDER SELECT FRESH WATER OR SEA WATER
REFILLING THE TANK WHEN EMPTY
- CONNECT EITHER TOP OR REAR FLUID HOSE ANCHOR OR FLUID CONNECTOR TO SUPPLIER

FUELLING OR FIREFIGHTING
- ENSURE BATTERY ISOLATOR IS ON
- OPEN THE PUMPING LOCKER
- ATTACH HOSE TO ONE OF TWO FLUID HOSE ANCHORS
- IF USING AS A REFUELLING TANKER ATTACH OTHER END OF HOSE TO VEHICLE TO BE REFUELLED
- TURN RESPECTIVE PUMP ON
- IF USING AS A FIRE TENDER AIM HOSE AT FIRE
